ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

AMINI & PEREZ

I think tonight's last minute Amini/Rose/Rerez winner gave an indication of how they could play together - the only other time they have been on the pitch together was against Sydney - but Amini played in front of Perez, whereas tonight I thought it was Perez who pushed up.

Anyway, nice to watch.

Amini brings joy to the game, he is a delight to watch; his perfect pass to Rose for the goal was matched only by his perfect pass to Pedj who got his legs tangled. Having Perez play with him means that the quality of the passing improves because each can trust the other to have the control to deal with the pass in tight situations. Musty always knows what is going on around him and always know where his next pass will be. He's a genius. And for such a young bloke he brings amazing momentum to the team as soon as he steps on the park.

At age 20, if he keeps getting better and *is* socceroos number 10 in Brazil, we might make a *lot* of money off the kid.

Well said Roy. What gladdens the heart is that Musty is still 'rusty', and just keeps getting better. He had a magical impact last night. You'd swear he reads minds, the way he threads a pass.

perez, has i believe the best strike on the ball, in the team.watching arimi come on with perez looks like arnolds thinking about playing him as a striker! which would complement simon, mcbreen and kaswnik as "smash and grab strikers" . out of the box thinking again mister Arnold .

What is also amazing is how he can sit there in freezing rain, belted by the wind for about an hour, laughing and giggling with his mates on the bench, and then step on the park and immediately have an impact. Very cool.

I can't work out why we don't have a covered bench in conditions like Sunday, we obviosuly have the cover as they are used in the Asian Champions League. It has to be a major distraction for Arnie having to sit holding a brolly all game when trying to coach (not sure what Mossey has done as Arnie certainly wasn't sharing his brolly with him).

Without the brolly, how could he spear it into the ground every time the team took a wrong option! :headbounce:

Yes, odd when in state league you are required to have covered benches.

Perhaps it supports the summer ambience of the A-League. A pity we had only, I think, two dry games at Bluey all season.

I want to know what hair products Mustafa uses to keep his hair so bouncy in rain squall conditions. It was back to its best at the after match function.

Come to think of it, it was a shame that Branco and Herbert didn't have brollys the other week could have made the after match confrontation a little more interesting and the Kossie, Muscat clashes would have been gold with an umbrella or 2 in play.

I dont think perez has the pace or height to be regularly effective starting up front, certainly not holding the line, but roving and sneaking in from midfield like he was when musty came on was really exciting to watch.
