ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

games are won from competent keepers. We f**ked it royally this year investing in kids for a gamble that may pay off in 5 years time, it's too crucial a position and there are too few games to be throwing valuable ALeague minutes at these guys.
I said this to my partner when Vuka announced his retirement. I still think he should have stuck it out for another year at least and still could have given the youngins a lot of insight and assistance with learning the "trade"

I know MC doesn't have the funds, broadcaster money was cut to a quarter and our other investor took his mountain bike and bailed early.

We are running on fumes and it explains everything we are going through.

I can't help but think that MC is making a mistake not stretching himself though.

Performances like that will lose us members, crowds and investment. Saving pennies will cost him a lot more and set us on a downward spiral.

If anyone calls him out, he will just blame Dick.
I really don't blame him for this either, it's mighty unfair of 'lil dick to do what he done (which I suspect he knew he was departing for a lot longer than he made out to have been considering - once the paydays came through to 'recoup his losses financially is only the reason he announced it) When I was watching the doco about CCM after it aired I disliked him from that moment as there were some utterly abysmal things he was doing "behind the scenes", he came into this knowing full well that he'd have to open his wallet and spend a lot of dosh only to get cold feet and pull out and kind of felt that he tried to put all the blame on the APL's funding cuts.... like come on, that affected every club, not just us and then continues to cull the staff that actually went through thick and thin to aid this club....

Lose who??? No one turns up no matter how good we are. Even last year the crowds were underwhelming for what we achieved. MC has been the owner long enough to realise him splashing cash has very little bearing on numbers attending games. Watch the doco, it’s mentioned in depth.

Technically before last nights game we were still in top 6 contention. So why didn’t people turn up???? Lucky for them they didn’t have to watch one of the most embarrassing games I can recall for a long time.

Crowds never hit the heights we'd hoped - but watch them drift away now with even more of a loss in income

Who are we talking about? Peil or Charlesworth?
It was Peil's idea to do the culling of staff AFAIK, sweet talked everyone into doing it (or what I remember from the doco anyways, it's what it was made out to be anyways from memory)
Peil done a classic rugpull tactic and jumped out of the ship before it sank leaving Charlesworth in the firing line

So Charlesworth was blind to all this? Had no idea? If so, he isnt fit (he was still the owner) If he knew he is negligent at best.
Its like renting your house and never inspecting it.

I think Herrington and Paul can hold their own next year with a full pre-season if Kaltak bails and Trent gets injured again.

We need to take Doka out of the equation and back to his statistically best position for assists, gold and influencing the game.

It is clear we have a solid group of youth that have boat loads of potential.

We just need 3/4 key experienced spinal signings to connect the front to the back and of-course the key component a goal scorer.

We still have a decent amount of games to go and a chance at redemption and preparation for next season.

There is 4 winnable games and or draws.

To keep the moral going I would say we turn the narrative to setting a system/structure and goal for next year preparing for exactly who we need to bring in next year.

While other teams are preparing fighting for top spots we need our recruitment team working their arses off now.

We should be concerned about playing the scum. They have won three in a row now. We could lose the concrete.

i think jacko showed no imagination . i expect scicluna to leave and be a decent player at drive bys or cows .
wilson is still here and wasn't given a look . the 343 was banking on something that failed every time we've played it .
i expect nothing for the rest of the season .and expect to be rightly spoon favourite for new season

100% This week Pep has said that his 343 possession based football has been over taken.
Effectively by Monty ball
Still Jacko flogs away at it.
