Theo has left his brain on the coast today. Giving away fouls in their half in injury time. Dumb.

Smith outperformed expectations. Mauragis may regret getting that knock.

Not a perfect game but Paull had some nice attacking excursions.
Would have been better playing with 10 men, he was terrible tonight

From what Paull was doing. Give him crack in midfield over Steele or Alfie in the next Asia game... No risk, lost it anyway but he seemed better higher up the pitch than he did at the back most of the season...

Also, Theo, meet Elon. Be a guinea pig to Mars... Cause I can't handle much more of that.

So are we past comparing this year to last, you know 4 losses to start etc. No way this is a top six side this season. No good putting crosses in for Kuols feet as can only score with his head. How do the other players feel when a 16 year old makes them look like amateurs.

A good effort to steal an away point by an injury ravaged, pulled around bunch of leftovers. I was very impressed by the effort put in by all.

However, being realistic. If we are going to be a threat for silverware next year and assuming we are in a slightly better financial position, being ruthless, there were only two of that starting eleven I definitely want to see in our starting lineup next year. There are another one or two who I think could maybe be acceptable. The rest have the remainder of the season to convince me.

Not keen on the negativity coming Alfie and Steele’s way.
They are doing a bonkers amount of work off the ball sliding side to side and rushing forward and back closing down that just doesn’t get noticed.

It’s all grunt work and when they do get a chance to make a threading pass if they miss the mark just once here and there people jumping down their throats.

It’s the style and the jobs they have been given by the coach with this setup.
They are not the box to box turn and pierce the middle format of Ballard last year.

The 3-5-2 is a wide approach to attack with the middle players there to ‘bounce off’ and draw opposition midfield to then whip wide.

Have we done this well?

Nowhere near our potential yet, but Kuz and Mauragis will shine soon enough and as our injured players flow back into the mix that front 3 we surely will find some rythm and a way to connect.

I’m guessing we will hit our straps in February and have a good streak just before finals. :)

And peak right in time to make and win the GF.

The end.

A much better performance from us. No real weak links and exciting to get Tesco back on the paddock.

Good games from Alou, Alfie, Eames, Smith, Storm and Paull. Steele and Doka were reasonable too.

The defensive ball watching has me cursing at times......we will have a few more 4.0 loses if we dont snap out of it.

3pts Paull
2pts Eames (the only bloke that can hit the f**king target)
1pt Alfie, Smith (was fading badly before he came off) and Alou.
