This is being taken way, way too seriously. There was a small article in a UK newspaper with no quotes from anyone simply saying “mark jackson is being considered by Melbourne victory”. I’m considering dating Margot Robbie, when does that make international news??
I’d be surprised if he’s not on the extended shortlist but he won’t be jumping at it.

A week or two ago people were talking about a fire sale at Victory in January because of their challenges with the 777 Group. What is their budget. Did PK move on because they wouldn't support him in the transfer market in January.

May have played a part.
I have to wonder if he knew this opportunity was coming and he kept it very much under his hat during the recruitment process for the Vuck job.
Part of the deal when he got punted from Troyes, CFG may have said “bide your time and we’ll bring you back into the group as soon as we can”. CFG do rate him very highly. Word is he’s off to Yokohama as assistant.

In my opinion this is way more likely than Jacko going. Jacko is not the fit for Victory, the way he coaches here (and prior) is focused on youth and getting as much out of them as possible. Victory does not fit that mold at all, I don't think he would go and I'm not sure he would have success even if he did.

I can see Vuck sticking with the interim manager until the new year and announcing him as coach if they have success in the next few games
