Edmo seems to play a different game to the rest of the team. I was watching some of his runs and it appears he is going far too early.

Sometimes. But I still think we don't play the pass when it's there far too often. Everyone wants that extra touch or turns out and goes backwards.

Ugly and the first half 11 lived a charmed life to be still be nil all at half time. Paull was lost most of the half and Hall had to move back centrally as it wasn’t working. I feel that experiment has run its course.

Looked better in the second half and Caputo gave Kaltak a hard time and got his reward. He has some talent and is big and fast.

So happy for Maxi to get the winning goal, with 20 to go I thought if we hang on for a draw that would be a good result. Definitely take the win and the 3 points and we may have just kicked them out of the finals for the first time since being City. Love it.

Just got back from the game. Good to see Sydmariner with the shirt off after the penalty. I was just in front of the TV cameras and could still see you working and twerking from the prawn sandwich seats.

We committed a smash and grab raid tbh. City should have had 4 but Danny was immense.

I was fist pumping the air like a loon when Maxy scored that goal....so happy for him.

City bringing on 4 Socceroos in the 2nd half was crazy and still they couldn't finish us. We are gutsy as hell.

I definitely noticed the lack of urgency in transition. Nizzy in particular, seemed to dwell on the ball and hold up play.

We were saved in part by City being shocking. So many butchered chances and while Danny was huge, he wasn’t saving some of those had they hit them on target.
Mind boggling the bench they had, but are they washed up Socceroos now? JMac is a shadow of his former self.
Made it even sweeter when our little ‘ol Maxy hit the winner.
Ahhh what a night. 91 mins of which was utterly shite 😂

A game with so much at stake for both teams and as much as I get the angst up to a point, just pause to reflect for a moment if you will that the $ity bench cost more than our whole team and let that sink in.

Whilst the boys were far from their best tonight, they got the job done and put the SFC shocker behind them quick smart, so that’s what was needed.

The Nix will be another big test for the boys on Sat but I am backing them to get the job done on home soil to claim top spot, although the challenge will then become holding on to it.

Away in Japan and watched the last 2 games on you tube surprised there hasn't been more positive response to what I thought was a huge improvement tactically and touch on the field btween the 2 games. Very happy with the win, well done team, Wellington next. What has happened to Faz? We definitely miss him.

The pace, press and positioning after half time was back to what we have come to expect, just need Kaltak to snap back into alertness, we had been a little spaced since the break.

I'd put him at 6th choice behind Faz, Smith, Doka, Storm and Sasha, the issue with the Sydney game was 4 of them got injured, and the right had to be plugged, in retrospect should have put Doka on Lolley at the end of that game.

He had a lot on his plate covering 2 positions for part of the game (Paull's positioning and game awareness is appalling) and the City forwards are huge. Some of his passes were amazing, that cross pitch long ball out to Doka on the right wing blew me away.

Spot on, and don’t disagree. But he had some uncharacteristic lapses and got his pocket picked twice leading to shots on goal, one successfully.

Hopefully just a little rust.
