ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Apparently is playing with ricardo oliviera. Though could not see him listed on english version of al jizira site. Good player oliviera, a waste to be there though.

I bet his Bank Manager would disagree ;)

shame really, hes never really got it back since the injury, a bit like colosimo after beckhams tackle in '99

Not if you listen to Harper, Slater & Co! They have been talking him up big time lately, has anyone else picked up on this? They were waxing lyrical about World Cup selection for f**k sake! I mean he goes allright but selection for SA..............................PLEASE

i try to avoid slater and harper, to the point where i cheered bozza boli and ange , and threw jibes at harps all second half of oz vs NLD, speaking of harper, did he actually do anything to warrant such exposure as a football commentator, secondly im usually at matches, so i dont hear much commentary, apart from socially lubricated supporters :D.

i personally think hes well past a WC spot, a shame , as he missed germany through injury.

As much as you'd laugh off a HAL defender, Aus's CB stocks aren't exactly super strong atm. From Neill down you've got a fairly big drop, and when taking 4 x CBs to the WC I'd be looking at Simon for one of the reserve spots.

That said, Pim won't, so I'm happy.

Simon "Elbows" Colosimo?

He surely deserves the chance in a pre WC game to show if he is worth a spot?

Agree, his habit of fouling his attacker at every contest would quickly be found out at International level where refs allow much less contact.

International CB's tend not to elbow the player they are marking every single time alternating with a shove in the back

you would think the guy who is head of the PFA would try and play clean at least SOME of the time

Did anyone else see his profile in the Sunday Telegraph on the weekend. Its in the kids pages I think.
His photo at the end of the article bears a great similarity to Aloisi

I didnt see it but it wouldnt have surprised me if it was Aloisi its not like you would expect the terrorgraph to know who was who in any a-league side

Surely Jedi would be the backup for our centre backs. I'd like to see him given a go there before Elbows.

colosimo vs us = luckiest player of the season. actually if you watch him in most games, when he gets the ball he usually looks surprised, like hes fallen over and the attacker just runs into him
