So would I, but I see no reason why the two federations couldn't combine in the Asian Cup.I'd split west Asian completely away as its own federation
ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!
If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.
ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Which division would Russia go in if their swap happens?I think going forward, Asia gets 8 spots in the WC and Oceania one.
If you could draw a line somewhere between India and Thailand as the divide, then West Asia would get 4 spots and East Asia (incorporating Oceania) would get 5. That would mean Saudi, Iran, Iraq, Qatar and UAE would be the main contenders in the West and Australia, Japan, Korea, China, Vietnam, Thailand would be the main contenders in the East. NZ would also be a contender. They wouldn't have their (almost) guaranteed spot but they'd be in a much better competition which is better for them in the long run.
I think that would be best for all involved. Can still have a play off between champions league winners for the champions of Asia title or even split that 9th spot by play off. More options for the minnows to play meaningful games.I think going forward, Asia gets 8 spots in the WC and Oceania one.

Their swap shouldnt happen at all. They only want it to dodge sanctions.Which division would Russia go in if their swap happens?
You wouldn't split that ninth spot. Oceania now has a full spot so why give that up?I think that would be best for all involved. I think our lads ought to be confident of going all the way here. So, after Group D's conclusion last night, Japan came in second behind Saudi so will play Korea in QF3.
If we get over Turkmenistan tomorrow, SF will be against the winner of that match on Wednesday night.
Saudi, Iraq and hosts Uzebekistan on the other pathway.
i think the uzebeks will win itI think our lads ought to be confident of going all the way here.
Dodgy AFC refs notwithstanding
Yep internationals can be torrid affairs. They have 5 at the back and time wasting from the first whistle so I feel they looking for going all the way to penalties.Makes it so boring
