ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Love Bernie. The black Matty Simon. Will definitely play in first team and that means his mum will be there watching - and she is almost as entertaining as Bernie is.
And...we have one hell of a youth team - Ryan, Mustafa, Sainsbury, Bernie plus...there's more!

Kwassie and Matt were actually quite alright against Sydney... will be good to see Bernie get a call up - perhaps if he keeps slotting them home for our NYL boys

Bernie isn't the black Matty Simon. I think he is much more skillful and a much better finisher. Perhaps because he is playing an easier opposition, but he can score from more of a distance than Simon. I can't remember Simon ever hitting a solid shot on target from any distance outside the box.

Kwassie and Matt were definitely effective against Sydney. I think Kwassie sitting high on their backline freed up Matty, who was often dropping deeper to link with the midfield. This gave Matty more room, allowing him to turn and face the goals. He was only offside once all game from memory.

A friend of mine watched the boys training today (Tuggerah)and told me about this black striker (Bernie) who was a real talent.
He's not really a CCM fan but came to the Sydney game with me last week(and i think has been bitten by the bug)
and is a decent player himself and has a pretty good knowledge of the game.
He told me this kid is a real good un and is definately knocking on the door. Said Bernie reminded him of a Kanu and has a wicked shot and is a real handful.
Pretty good rap from a bloke thats not easily impressed, so maybe we have the striker we need already in the ranks!

Yeah I think Bernie's a talent and have heard a lot of people say likewise. Much superior to someone like Djitte that has been so overhyped. I haven't seen him in a while and I'm wondering how his physical development strength wise is coming along?

It's just about his development and getting the timing right now as personally I'm hoping we see a few minutes of him this year off the bench. But GA sees him all the time so must be well aware of him and has proved a pretty astute judge so far.

with armni gone for a month in january sounds like a nice time to slot him on the bench.with matty slotting back to midfield after 60 minutes and stick the kid up front

Looks like the rumours about the norwegian striker are quashed now, Sydney FC just signed the Finnish top goal scorer for the ACL, scandanavian top scorer to a NSW club, easy to see how the confusion started, shame tho :(
