I doubt it from the way he said it ....  What I heard him say, and I'm hard of hearing, is there'd be a couple of signings announced in the next week, then they'd wait to see what they needed later in the off-season.

4-4-2 rumour is former Socceroo midfielder Josip Skoko may be returning to the A-League as soon as this season. With Wigan facing relegation and Skoko not playing regular first team football, he may be tempted to return to Australia sooner rather than later. The Central Coast Mariners appear favourites to sign him, with a marquee spot available.

or even "better" (?) rumour:  ENIGMATIC Dwight Yorke has indicated he would like to finish his playing days in Australia and he may well find a new home at the Central Coast Mariners. Mariners are offering a player/coach role in the region of 300k-400k for a year, then if he holds up another year after that. Yorke keen to coach will be perfect for the new youth coach role available.

In other Mariners transfer news Ahmad Elrich is set to join.

jeez, so many rumours at the moment. i think i would rather dwight than skoko.
mainly because he will b able to set up a lot of goals, and will be EXCELLENT for the youth team as a coach or something. we should get him playing in the youth team as an over age. hahaha.

if we get zidane, i say keep him on the bench all season, first derby v newcastle, bring him on and tell him that griffiths said something about his family and tell him to headbutt him.
