Just saw the Charlie Austin interview. Man I rate the guy from that. Seems he would have been a good fit for us.

He is quality! Brisbane are going to be hard to beat. Single goal loses to Leeds and Villa are good signs.
They were OK last year just didn't have any one scoring regularly and they may have addressed that issue.
They were also garbage away because the qld rules meant they had to fly in, play and leave same day to avoid quarantine rules. We arent close enough to the season to make a meaningful prediction but I think they'll at least be in the hunt for finals.

He's a left back, so not good news for Noah Smith. He is 28 and spent a few years with various clubs in the Spanish regional lower tiers before a move to the Mexican 2nd division, where his club won promotion and his career peaked with 28 appearances (out of a possible 68) with 2 different clubs over 2 seasons in the Mexican top tier. Last year he was in Kazakhstan.
So a fairly modest resume. But hey, why waste time and effort developing young Aussie players when you can recruit journeymen visa players who might be slightly better.
Smith was never going to be their first choice left back. Will have his work cut out for him being second.

Squad balance was to shit. Danzaki and Austin should be 20-25 goals.
Don’t see him faring well under Rudan’s management style tbh, apparently doesn’t respond well to tough love but good luck to him and don’t think CCM were going to move mountains to retain him.
