ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

A league media deal thread

That was my first thought to. He’s the worst of the lot but would be the type who would do the cross promotion shows
He’s been getting better this season. Still biased but you can see there’s been some work out in to him. And definitely a decent choice for non match day content.

A massive Australian football personality being on a mainstream, primetime TV show, for 3-4 nights a week, hopefully for a few months, is great news. This is the kind of commercial exposure the game needs and hopefully what we'll see more of. People who have never watched the A-League will find out who he is. I think it gives the game more credibility and definitely more exposure

This is the exciting thing about being on a mainstream network with an interest in exposing the league.

I feel good for the game in Australia now. This new media deal has soooo much more potential for all the reasons already discussed. Exciting times for the league.

Val Migliacco reporting that $100m capital raising will also be announced soon. He was on the Real football show pod. While not clear who the deal was with the comments said it would mean that the value of licenses would go up significantly.

I’m nervous about P+ and think it’s possible we’ll see some early rounds on 10 play if it shits the bed. And 10 play is very basic with no start over or on demand. Miss the match and you’ll be waiting a while for highlights.

I've been watching shows and movies on P+ since we received our membership and I can see they have already upgraded the app to include things like wishlists so it is still a work in progress. I think they will go OK.

I have too but its slow going and no sign of live sport at all. I would have thought pushing an FFA cup through along side 10 play would have been high on the list for testing. Not to mention you dont want to be pushing an update on the eve of kick off.

True, some test runs on P+ wouldn't hurt their cause.

Yeah they take nearly a whole day to upload full match replays of the Socceroos which is disappointing. Also very disappointing that you can't watch full match replays of the FFA Cup on demand, they can upload highlights so surely it's easier to upload the full file?

Does anyone know if there's been talk of, or confirmation of a weekly ALeagues talk show on the new broadcasters? 10 or Paramount?

I'm not sure about the talk show, current schedule shows each game has a 20 minute preview.

What I do know is on the KeepUp platform they've poached Garb/Cornthwaite from ABC, added Chapman and have a weekly pod. Access it through the Who is the next Koul article in latest news.
Just listening to it now, not as polished as the Ramble boys, but worth a listen

Started watching it however with no analysis and I watched every game over the weekend it didn't add anything for me however would be OK if you missed all or most of the matches. I think with some analysis of the games and players it would be a good addition. I really miss the Santo, Sam and Ed - Total Football Show that was on many years ago on Fox. Seems so long ago now and nothing decent since.

Had to laugh when I read this article this morning. Sold their soul and didn't really bother to discuss how the game would be televised. Wasn't the APL meant to be the saviour of the League. Bunch of rookie muppets is more like it.

CD made mention the long VAR breaks are probably for advertising so maybe Evans was just toeing the line and never going to change his views. I can see it now Mr Tits saying, "Shauno that's a great decision to screw over those minnows but come over and look at the screen for a few minutes as we have to provide ad breaks for the overlords."
