I'm stuck in the West with no tv. A score yould be appreciated and I would absolute love a Wombat (or anyone's) summary on the players. Sound like it was fun.

9.1 Ancient.

Vuko. Not much to do. Went off injured. Didnt move on their goal.
Doka. Really good game. A great signing.
Farrell Excellent game. Very physical. Did really well to set up Nizzy.
Kaltek. Pretty good. Scored a goal. Got beaten on their goal.
Paull. Quite good. Should not have conceeded the corner they scored from. Improving.
Torres. Physically very strong and super quick. He was a handful all night. Scored a beauty. Will definately be better than N'kololo when he fully adjusts and settles.
Nizzy. Very good. They couldn't handle him. Even scored a goal
Balard. Some good moments. Worked hard. Missed an open goal
Wilson. Easily our worst player. Constantly offside. No idea what Abbas said to MJ but there is no way he should be starting in front of Theo. One or two good passes but should have been hooked after 30 mins or HT if being kind.
Tulio. Missed some sitters and still scored a hatrick. Some nice link play
DWH. Scored 2 and hit the post. Strayed offside too much. Decent but won't keep Kuol out.

Subs.

Tapp. Basically played perfectly when he came on. Very impressive.
Kuol. Scored a quality goal.
Theo. Is a joy to watch.
Storm. Did well enough.
Jack Warshawsky. Came on for Vuko. Looked ok, nothing much to do.

My 3 best were Nizz, Doka and Torres.

Quite happy with efforts so far for pre season.
Two AFC games played in less than perfect conditions - one stinking hot and humid. The other torrential wind and rain.
I am sure in good conditions we will see the passing and player combinations grow to another level

I said to my mate he needed to be hooked after 20 mins.

Glad to here Tapp is back, the little I have seen was impressive.
Not too worried about DWH and offsides. Off the shoulder attackers are always on the edge. Match time and being in tune with the rest, to get the timing right.
Looking forward to seeing Torres in the flesh.
Mick must have been in Bay 16. Believing Allreet on halfway on Nizz.

Doka is a class above if Torres can find his kicking angles...they will have a big impact on this competition ...

Koul, looked next level tonight and the speed of his movement & passing was impressive.... no idea why he started on the bench...

Coach seems to be attack minded...

Loved the kit IMO the best we have had.

The person who upset the weather gods needs to own up and take some punishment as by the holy mother Mary we get some lousy weather for many of our home games....

Really? Thought Nizzy didn’t play that well for his standards. Not his usual box-to-box involvement and his completed pass rate must have been low.

93% completed passes. Probably low for him in fairness.

From memory it was just before NPL finals last year. So maybe 14 months since he’s played

Did his ACL in the NPL2 grand final last season. Had surgery about 12 months ago. Was f**kin heartbroken for the kid at the time.
So good to see him back, he’s a talent and will push for AL minutes this season. He’s worked incredibly hard to get back to where he is. Absolutely brilliant head on his shoulders too.
Massive sense of pride watching these guys come through the academy ranks.

Well I take that back then.

I was exactly on halfway at the back of the top grandstand, sitting with two highly credentialed coaches (two C licences and one B licence in our group of three), one of whom coached Nizzy, and they were saying the same thing. The missed passes must have been the ones putting us under the most pressure.

At times one of the coaches was yelling for Nizz to be involved because he was not showing as much as normally does.

I'd like to watch the whole match again, do full replays of these afc games get posted somewhere? Couldn't see it on 10 play.

Hopefully it'll pop up on the afc hub on youtube at some point, looks like they appear in the live section.

Nizz was absolutely superb though so all good... until Monty poaches him in January.

Much as I would like that to happen for Nizzy's sake, it seems that Newell and Jeggo are in good form.

yes, some stray passes giving away possession was not like him
