ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

On another note I just caught the mini match and man the hosts were garbage. 1 decent chance, 2 if you’re generous and ignore a probably offside. Weren’t pressed hard at all but couldn’t hold on to the ball.

At least they moved here at a young age for life though, not for football. That's legitimate. Cumdog, Boyle and Souttar were born, raised and playing their whole careers in another country, we just found out they had passport links to Australia and poached them. That's nationalising talent like Qatar are known for doing.

That's like Marnus Labuschagne moving to Australia at 7. Fully legitimate Aussie player because he moved over here for life and played all his junior cricket as an Australian.

Italy are basically about to do that with Cristian Volpato lmao. Fully Australian. Born here. Raised here. Played all his junior football here. Only Italian now because they realised he has talent. ?

I'm still pissed off with that VAR call. How on Earth was he interfering with play? And there were a couple more game transactions before the final header.

Did anyone see the new Rolex on the ref's wrist as he left in his Maserati?

There was a kick taken by A1, the free kick. The keeper came out and punched the ball - nobody was offside at the kick, though the keeper played it anyway. Keeper was challenged in the air by A2 - keeper punched the ball onto the head of A2. At THIS moment, we reconsider offside. The Hawkeye graphic showing a shin off, is drawn at this moment.

The ball then goes to a teammate who headed it, A3. At the moment A2 headed it, A3 was in an offside position.

Remember, to be onside, there needs to be 2 defenders between the attacker and the goal. Usually, 1 of those is the keeper. In this case, it wasn't. Hawkeye was drawn at the 2nd defender, showing the attacker offside.

For all the controversy, there was nothing particularly strange about it.

I'd say it highlights the issue of a lack of communication though - of course a lot of fans wouldn't understand the decision. Even most commentators didn't....although their level of the laws knowledge isn't better than that of most fans, usually...
