ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

2-2 full time, it’s a pity that we didn’t get a look at the trialist, he looked to have potential :pirashoot::pirashoot:

Under strength side, 2-2 against Scum in Maitland is a good result and surely good for morale.

Good for my morale at any rate :innocent:

In MMM we trust.

Defensively we looked shit as usual.

. with four across the back i think we had fewer 'oh-shit' moments than we have become accustomed to

. but their two goals were reminders of the work to do to rid us of the 'FFS' moments we still seem to fall victim of

Both goals that we conceded stemmed from a cheap loss of possession in midfield and the defence wasn’t able to react quickly enough to that.

Given that we were without arguably our two first choice middies in Tom and O’Neil, that’s less of a concern than it otherwise might be imo. Melling still needs to learn to respect possession of the football a lot more though, or he is facing a lot of bench time.

Weemac looked good again, although Simon was largely forced to live off scraps this time out, which may be the reality of life in the HAL, once the season starts.

For a reshuffled defence, I think they went ok for the most part and given that the Jest were pretty much at full strength (I believe Moss was their only major out), we should see the result as encouraging.

MMM said post-game that there are signings imminent, one of which will hopefully be a big player for us.

I think a draw against a near full strength Scum side is very promising, considering how many players we had out.
Did Golec play the whole game?

Any clues on who the big player is?

Unfortunately not sorry, other than they are an attacking (possibly) visa player. Apparently we are looking at another pickup from WSW but my understanding is that will just be a squaddie - someone with an unusual surname apparently.
