Mentioned to Shaun today that the Umbro Home Kit this year is shading towards being 'Lemony', and were drifting away from our original 'Foundation Yellow', which is best described as a light goldish/yellow
& moving closer to Wellingtons shade! !
Seeing somebody wearing last years Palm Tree standing side by side with someone wearing this years & they are like chalk and cheese ..... high-vis safety chalk and old edam cheese that is.
The 'Palmy' is more if a bold gold type of Yellow.
Tried on the new kit for sizing (so Mrs Rowdy gets it right for Birthday later this month) and the quality and feel of the Umbro is top notch- very comfortable and light.
The manager of Rebel guy said they're more of a 'true fit' to size compared to the Kappas of last year that he said were a 'narrower' - slimmer cut, if that helps a few people.
Also, Rebel will be solely running the Merch tent on game days NOT the club.
Members 10% discount WILL be available at the Erina Fair store (showing you card)
but crazily NOT AVAILABLE at the Tuggerah store, so be aware those to the north !
Asked him why ??? shrug of the shoulders and doesnt understand himself why, asked is it because of a different franchise owner ? NOPE ! ALL Rebel store are controlled by the one parent company just the guy running Tuggerah sounds like he doesnt want to play ball.
So again, just buy your gear at the Merch tent on game day or Erina Fair for your Members discount.
The polo shirts look quite smick too, players were wearing them during the jersey presentations, exact same colour as the home kit + available in the away navy blue as well BUT a bit exy at $79
Couldnt see ANY scarfs for 2016/17, asked about if they're getting any ???
- Unsure at this stage ! ???
The Platinum members recieved one, had a look/touch - & it was very similar to the light-weight synthetic ones produced in previous seasons (crap) & nothing available @ the moment in the more traditional woollen/hybrid 'keep your neck warm' for an ACL game or swinging when we score a goal type from all the previous seasons. Disappointing & BIZARRE !!!
So it's ALL up to Rebel dealing with what they get from Umbro or whomever (for scarfs) this year, as Shaun said the clubs have washed their hands of it so to speak/in regards to managing it, one off payment to the club from Rebel, with no more hassles of paying staff to man the tent, tracking inventory & dissapearing stock.
Just recieving portion of revenue based on total sales from suppliers/manufacturers as per the FFA licensing agreement.
So there you have it.
