ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Good good.

Also this is a useful list to keep updated

CURRENT PRE-SEASON MATCH SCHEDULE:
Coffs Harbour:

  • Friday August 7: Western Sydney Wanderers v Central Coast Mariners at Coffs International Stadium - 7:00pm
FFA Cup (Central Coast Stadium)
  • Tuesday August 11: Central Coast Mariners v Wellington Phoenix at Central Coast Stadium - 7:30pm
Canberra:
  • Tuesday August 18: Central Coast Mariners v Canberra Olympic at Woden Park - 6:00pm
  • Thursday August 20: Central Coast Mariners v Gungahlin United at Gungahlin Enclosed - kick off TBC
Shaping up as a nice competitive Pre-Season. Good to see the club taking the FFA Cup seriously with an A-League friendly just before.

It`s good to see that "OUR TONY" has done some homework & prepared a decent pre-season of matches.
After last years abysmal effort we may just enter HAL11 with some fitness & form under our belts.

Treasure hunt between the buses to see who could steal the most obscure shit from the side of the roads: garden gnomes, windmills & whatever else that would 'one-'up the other bus.
My clandestine theft of Grafton's Macca's flag got us over the line.

C'mon the large yellow Banana (sign) relocated from Bonville Fruit Market (and returned on trip down) pisses all over a Macca flag! They've closed down now ... more the shock of our 'visit' than the highway by-pass I suspect.

Anyway, welcome all to the Banana Coast / Coffs Coast, aka Paradise 2

ps. we will have some local support - I've run into a few Mariners fans up here (even if we are in NNSW territory)

Ahhhh, the memories of stopping in here on the way to Brisbane for the inaugural A-LEAGUE S1 Marinators first ever Away Trip.

2 mini busses, #1 drivin by the big man & legend himself 'Auburn' & #2 by who else but Kevrenors good mate PTBD 'Pete The Bus Driver'.

However it was 'GoldenBoy' setting-off of the fire extinguisher in #Bus2 that was the trip highlight. Seeing the 'ghosts' emerge from the bus. "What the hell happened?"
GoldenBoy "I swear I barely touched it and it just......"

Mini-bus;
Paint code: white
Interior trim: also now white.

Yep, Tiger is in the gloomy city (or jet-setting on the oil tycoons' dollars...) and Perm is in Sydney these days.

the pre-season game versus Wanderers in Coffs Harbour
I would absolutely love to be there but ( sheeyitt ) I'm doing a bit of cas work atm and can't make any of the pre season away games. Damn, bugger, blast :( I hope VPA do us a stream, please? :)

I just can't believe that the WSW game in Coffs is our *only* pre-season game before the FFA Cup matchup vs. Phoenix. I have a bad feeling for that, but I will be there on the 11th. Aug. Wild horses etc. :)

iirc we didn't have many pre-season games last year either?

From the above link:

"The Mariners have been in pre-season training for just under a month and Walmsley says the players have had to adapt to a more intense environment than previous years.

"The workload we're putting into them has been significant. There's been a lot of double sessions and most of that has been about pure physical conditioning," he said. "The players have embraced it, they believe in the ideals we now stand for and I'm looking forward to next week when we get to have our first meaningful matches, which is when we'll start working more on the tactical side."

Interesting....... would love to know what Clarkie's thoughts are on the 'double-sessions' of 'pure physical conditioning' in the pre-season ????

Guess we'll be either the fittest in the league :) or can look forward to a myriad of soft tissue injuries .

Bit of old school run and then run some more.

A lot of old fast bowlers reckon lots of bowling in the nets then in the games battle hardened them then the new rotation policy where bowlers were getting hurt for a while
