Well that was a fantastic season overall. We did play a few crappy games but we were vastly improved from the previous year and played attractive attacking Football.
Our squad was the strongest since season 1 and Arnie and Mossy were a revelation.
Time to evaluate the squad's individual performance.
Ryan. 80/100. Commands his box very well and sweeps brilliantly. A quality shot stopper who got better as the season went on. Cost us a couple of games with a few "calamity" moments but always showed huge resilience.
Was superb in the finals.
Bojic 83/100. Easily his best season for us. Gave us good go forward and balanced the side. Incredibly fit and tough in the tackle.
Wilko 81/100. Also his best season and really looked like the captain this year. Rarely beaten for pace this year and quicker to close down attackers. Looked a better alround player and formed formibible partnership with Patrick.
Dutchy 90/100. Player of the year. Outstanding and massively influential on the team. Very consistant and read the game like a general.
Rose 85/100. Great season. Fantastic pace and good control. Chimed in with plenty of goals and assists. With a little bit of work on his defensive duties and he could be a future Socceroo.
Wee Mac 82/100. Quality little player. Great dribbler and worked very hard defensively this year. Should score more.
Rostyn 84/100. Grew into a collosus. His game has it all. Would like to see him continue to drive forward like he started to do in the second half of the season.
Perez 81/100. Promised so much and on the occassions that he fired, was head and shoulders above his team mates. Expertly at drawing a free kick and glided with the ball like no one else in HAL. Our best player with the dead ball.
Olly 84/100. Lovely player with quick feet and great close control. Poor in front of goal and takes the wrong option at times in the final third but became a leader in the team with some very mature performances in the second half of the season. Definately a future Socceroo.
Simon 80/100. Golden boot and put in 100% at every game. Lacked a quality finish at times.
Kwasnik 74/100. Some great games and some stinkers. Became a very important player this season and was especially effective as a super sub. Showed just how good he can be with quality game in GF.
McBreen 70/100. Worked really hard and has a good lay-off. Finishing was rather poor. Looked rather good as a middie.
Amini 81/100. Star in the making. Needs to work on fitness and finishing but apart from that is all quality.
Hutcho 70/100. Did the job and is decent cover when others are injured.
Sainsbury 67/100. Got blooded and did OK. Still got alot to learn but shows some raw talent and likes to get forward.
Bernie 75/100. Hugh potential and must have earn't a new improved contract.
