I got badly tucked up in Munich when i was about 17-18yo.

We were drinking those stupid 2.4 litre beers they have over there and Germany were playing Poland while we got mashed in the pub. The Krauts were 2.0 up and my friends who were a couple of years older and were big wind up merchants said......look at these smug German bastards...if Poland score we will all go mad cheering and if we need too fight our way out of the pub we will.
That sounded good so i agreed. 5 Mins later Poland score and i leapt out of my seat and start leaping around and whooping.
The whole pub look at me like im mental and a few German swearwords head my way. I look back to our table and they are all still sitting down staring at the Football nonplussed and grinning at me. You could have believed they were playing a game of chess...thats how sensible they looked.

YOU BASTARDS.....i sheepishly trot back to the table with the WHOLE pub staring at me. At which point they piss themselves laughing and pat me on the back.
I wasn't best pleased but appreciated the wind up.
Im just grateful we weren't in Russia!

Also it was pretty evident Newy was on top as city hadn’t seen halfway for a while.
