Sydney FC Youth Player and his opinions of various Mariners

I had a long chat with a Sydney Youth Player (who will be with the Mariners next year) and he had some interesting opinions.
We disagreed to a few topics but it was very interesting to hear his thoughts on the Mariners.

1. Thinks our support is excellent considering the size of the Coast.

2. Rates LM and Alex Tobin highly (probably coz they just signed him up).

3. Thinks the best player in the whole squad is D-Mac.

4. Says Disco Nik is the funniest player.

5. Says Boogs is ALL class and a monster to play against. Said Boogs owned the young Black Sydney gun (Denig or whatever his name was) when they played against each other in Yoof League. Reckons we would have had a totally different seasons if Boogs had stayed fit.

6. Reckons Sonic is very classy.

7. Says Porter is like lightning and impossible to skin on the outside.

8. Didn't know who Kwasnik was...LOL.

9. Reckons Pedj is strange.

10. Says Simon is top bloke.

11. Reckons Gumps swears like a Docker during a game.

12. Says Owens is top player when fit but his brother is not in same league.

13. Rates Hutcho as a CM....WTF!

Nice bloke but I haven't see him play yet. He can juggle the ball Ok and apparently will be playing for Aust in Under 20's world cup this year.

He reckons he's been signed for our first team squad NOT Yoof but I thought he was just talking himself up a bit. He told me he didn't expect to get a first 11 start next year unless there were a few injuries.
He's confident but not Cocky.  They offered me a kick about at 6pm but that was down at Pagewood and thats past my bedtime...I like to be back on the Coast by then!!

I just looked on Bling's website and didn't see him on there and my friends told me he also plays for Marconi and I didn't see him on their website.???

Maybe its a wind up but he knows EVERYTHING about the Mariners and reckons he has the full training kit....i'll keep digging.

*Sam Munro (quality box-to-box CM)
*Ibrahim Haydar (very raw, gigantic CB. Like Boogs but way more raw)
*Zach Cairncross (like Hayder, except not as good)
*Matthew Hall (meh)
*Steve Lustica (wasn't really part of our youth team? just a ring-in. Looked handyish though)
*Robbie Mileski (CAM, and you can have him, LOL)
*Luke Austin (right-back, solid if unspectacular. Wouldn't have him at HAL level yet)
*Vedran Janjetovic (goalkeeper, neither here nor there IMO)

Of those the only three that would do any HAL team are the top three (and even then Haydar needs another year at NYL before thinking about making the jump up).

Chris Triantis is 21, so I don't think he qualifies for U20 world cup? Dunno, but he was known to be trialling with your lot. Would be a very good signing - he's unlucky he's got bodies ahead of him at CM with us, as he is definitely HAL level.

Would be gutted if we lost Munro, and he's a key part of the U20s. The plan seemed to be having him in our NYL side for another year then bring him through (we just have too many CMs at present). He's young but looks a real talent. Runs all day, fantastic shot, and not scared in defence.
