In the interest of football ... this was a decent game... the flying circus amaze me how they were they are on the table ... they play a game similar to us maybe their mids get stuck in a bit more.

They said on sports tonight that police had to be called in as fans clashed at the end of the game, then showed a few sydney fans jumping around (no melb fans around, no fighting) and another shot at the bottom of those steps near the stadium, from across the road, sydney fans just in a group chanting and a few cops keeping an eye on things... Total f**kin beat up, as usual.

I wouldn't call a smashed window from a computer thrown a total beat-up, as for the flares well they are illegal, so I guess something else for the media to jump on.

Was on Ch 7, apparently from a Tard before the game at the pub where the SFC fans were drinking (Duke of Edinburgh??)

Duke of Kent Hotel

Computer through the window and small scuffles inside with four people suffering minor cuts

While it sounds pretty bad, the news did do a tremendous (and disgusting) beat up.

For those who missed it, you wouldn't believe how much they dramatised the fact that fans were insulting each other, while showing the footage of the rival bays pointing and yelling at each other.

Ridiculous.

Soccer fans brawl
FOUR people were injured and hotel windows were broken when a fight broke out between rival soccer fans last night.
A group of Sydney FC supporters was allegedly attacked by Melbourne Victory rivals at the Duke of Kent Hotel in La Trobe St before the game at Etihad Stadium.
Police said the fight broke out about 6.10pm, when a passing group allegedly threw computer equipment through the window of the pub.
``The attacking group then moved inside and scuffles took place in the hotel,'' Sen Constable Wayne Wilson said.
Three Sydney supporters suffered ``cuts and minor lacerations'', and another passer-by was ``hit by a glass thrown from inside the hotel''.
No charges were laid.

Allegedly, allegedly, allegedly, blah blah wank wank.  "No charges have been laid" - says it all really.

You'd find worse on George St. or the Cross on a Saturday night.

Shock horror, pissed up youths have a small fight in an inner city pub on a Saturday near Christmas.

Close the comp down, these wogs are out of control.

Mind you Tards would help everyone if they could behave for once. Tools

pretty neat effort taking computer equipment to a game hoping to find someone to lob it at.

Bricks would surely be easier?

dickheads, giving soccer a bad name.
there is no room for this behavior in our sport.
in future i think they should have riot police at the pubs with water cannons and police on horseback with tasers and possibly real guns to shoot the hooligans.
i saw the channel 7 footage and i was amazed at how these clowns behaved! i hope they pay the pub for ruining it's windows and breaking glasses!
if the sydney and melbourne fans keep this up, they shouldn't deserve a licence! this may hinder our world cup bid :redcard:
