ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Given that Mariners have switched from 2GO to Star FM, who do YOU listen to 'usually'?  (and the fact that if we can't make it to the game, don't have access to Fox, we all listen to the 'A Team' is a given! ;) )

I drive on average about three hours a day and in my nerdish ways listen to 92.5, 1233 or 702 depending on location - all ABC.

Star FM, on the way to work and at work.

Best mix of music on the coast! Glad they got the new sponsorship, because now I get more info on the Mariners.

I am very much a channel surfer.
Depending on what sporting event is on i listen to 2GB/Star FM or ABC for NRL.
Coast FM or 2KY for Racing/ sports or football.

ABC or 2GB during the week for talk back or human interest stories.
Music wise Star FM.

like a lot of Mariners fans, I'm a commuter....so listen to whoever has the best traffic reports while driving (5:00am mornings...5:00pm afternoons).  typically SeaFM in the mornings until Hornsby, and then MMM from there to Burwood.....reverse in the afternoons.

Sydney talkback until someone starts getting on my tits.....usually Chris....the scones and knitting show....Smith.

Then I put cd's on.

Triple J. Can't stand commercial radio. Occasionally flick over to 92.5, especially to tune into the cricket.

I work from home and stream 702 all day. I particularly like James Valentine and Richard Glover but if I'm in the car (rare) and need some driving music, it's Star.

Hmmm... I'm trying to say this nicely but I can't stand commercial radio, the crap they go on with, the commercialism of it, the announcers, their "music" selection, repetition, "news", the callers, self-promotion, the hype... (apologies to any fans out there)

Guess I'm not really radio person.

I have listened to JJJ a bit over the years (approx once a week), but lately have found even their "good bits" too diluted with a major overdose of stuff that sounds to me like emo and oz hip-hop.

Don't get me wrong, I consider myself very musically open-minded. I like any kind of music when I'm in the right mood. Unfortunately I'm not always in a "teen/commercial" or "bogan-rock" mood so I have never been able to tolerate too big a dose of the commercial radio that is available to us here on the Coast.

95% of the radio I hear is when I'm in a cab or a shop, so it's not by my own choice. I think it's mostly a mix of 2GO, Sea & Star.

The only radio I CHOOSE to listen to is TripleJ, and i also Podcast some programs from foreign radio stations (hence I voted "other"). That way I can listen to a particular type of music depending on my mood & the situation, not just Pink & Robbie Williams 24/7.

The only problem with commercial radio is the commercials! Pitched at morons, can't stand 'em.

Give me the ABC or a good community station any day.

Having said that, I have almost totally forsaken radio for football podcasts. BBC 5 Live, BBC Scotland, World Soccer Daily, The Guardian Football Weekly, Australian Four Four Two and Sky Sports Radio with Damien Lovelock.

If you want to know the time on the Central Coast just turn on the local commercial stations - it's always the 1970s

That was the last good decade as far as music is concerned. 3 decades of quality (50's, 60's 70's) and a desert ever since.
