ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Stanmore Business Crew - AKA CCM supporters in the inner west

Turns out there are four CCM supporting households in the space of about a kilometre in Stanmore - a little pocket of yellow in a sea of sky blue (and I was on the front page of the Inner West Courier in Grand Final week... I'd rather not talk about it...).

There appear to be three on one street and one just around the corner in Petersham. There's another further over in Petersham but he's moving back to the Coast any day now.

Are there any other coastie expats in the inner west who'd be keen on getting a regular thing on in a local pub?

Cambridge St here. I usually go to the Queen Victoria Hotel on Enmore Rd to watch A-League matches, got plenty of TVs set up there.

thought we must have been starting a hooligan crew with the title as the old sheffield united crew were the blades business crew relieved to find out it is more innocent :)

Marrickville myself, might find myself watching away games in Queen Victoria Hotel in the future.

We've just had an ex-Coastie, CCM supporting mate move back from Melbourne to Surry Hills too, from my football club there's another in Maroubra, another in Gladesville, another who I don't know where he is but he plays for Sydney Uni so he's not going to be miles away. There are quite a few of us floating about. We should get shirts done up or something.

We used to have the joking tag that given we're all la-di-dah latte sippers that we're the Mariners' Cultural Elite - before football we have rucks and chablis - and then we have the Stanmore Business Crew nickname.

Any bright ideas for a Sydney-based supporters' group name? The Sydney Regiment (of the Yellow Army, natch).

I like The Sydney Regiment, can be inclusive to any Sydney sider who wants to watch a match with us not just inner west folk. Mariners' Cultural Elite and Stanmore Business Crew do have a nice ring to 'em though.

Sydney Regiment.

Shirts would be a nice touch too.

Try and avoid the rolled up chinos though. That's more a N Shore thing

I do remember mentioning it to Erin Morrow (and possibly Fish) at one point, but honestly I can't remember when or where.

We're mostly inner west, all vintage trainers, jeans and black t-shirts with designer stubble, hair in our eyes, furrowed brows and broody good looks while we struggle under the weight of our creative passions and depression and the endless search for good quinoa.

Well, and there's me - with the capacity to be socially awkward in an empty room and with all the charm and charisma of a traffic accident.

We sound like two very awkward peas in a pod.

Also I whipped this up while putting off starting an assignment.

Are we not the Mariners? Regiment is Army. Better off taking a Navy term surely. How about The Sydney Fleet? Or the Sydney Flotilla? Of course we could have the Sydney Squadron, but let's not go there!

I like Regiment. Yellow Army, Regiment, it fits. I already chucked the anchor on there, thats got Mariners and Sydney covered.
