    ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

    If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

    ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

With Paul Anderson for the Huge announcement this morning of the Socceroos having their pre World Cup training camp at central coast stadium 9th to 22nd May prior to the farewell game on the 26th May at ANZ Stadium. The boys will be staying at Terrigal. Massive exposure for Gosford and the central coast.

Fantastic news for the Coast and the Mariners, great exposure!

So is this the FFA utilising the COE I assume? Do Mariners get paid for this?

You can view the ground from the leagues club carpark or those nice units over looking the ground if they don't open her up but I'm sure if you sniff around you could watch something.

Wouldn't it be funny if the Socceroos chose "Bluetongue" over the CoE because they got a cheaper deal :innocent:
Well, Mr Charlesworth, you really should get a hurry on and build that nice Travelodge Hotel (what ever happened to that??);
You would hope, even for the Socceroos sake, they would put some variety into the schedule and train at the CoE.

The hotel was full steam ahead last time I was there a month ago:popcorn:

Taking off my evil, evil hat for a moment ( I appreciate the kind words BG) it may be that the CoE is not available as further work will be in progress during the off season. Including, thanks here for the update Style, work on the hotel.
I still think the Socceroos will pay a visit; especially the Soccer5s: a team of Ryan, Wilko, Jedi, Ollie and Tommy should go alright

I think you will find there are limited football grounds in this country in winter.

CCS (Central Coast Stadium) & probably AU (not sure about Glory) are the only football only grounds that I know of not being dug up every week in June by 100kg islanders.

As your final farewell game is in Sydney you would want to be close to Sydney for the lead in. Not compulsory as they could have trained at Adelaide & flew over for the game.

Would the COE, Sydney united & any other boutique football ground be hosting the State league?

Untouched quality pitch - Great score for the coast & the boys will certainly know there way around

Most other football grounds (any code) will be in use pretty heavily.

On the NPL grounds in particular, A lot of the NPL NSW grounds now are synthetic - APIA, Blacktown City, Blacktown Spartans, Manly Utd, Sutherland and Sydney Utd all play on synthetic and most of the players will basically have prohibitions on playing on the stuff because it's harder on the body than grass.
