Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Why dissapointed? The guys been here 2 weeks and seen 1 game. What do you expect?
For mine the only call that should be different is North. Other than that, spot on.

No Troisi , no Inman, no Holland

Would Holg's know any of them enough to select? No. Have any of them done anything to deserve selection above the ones in the team? No.

There will be time enough for squad building after the Asian Cup. For me, I want to f**king win something. A team with the 3 you name is a future squad, not an Asian Cup squad in January.

I'm with you Scottmac. Time to win something.

Lot of people have been whinging about the squad.

Sure there are a few other possibilities. Kilkenny springs to mind, but I'm sure they'll get their chance over the next couple of years if they continue to perform well.

Fox keep bitching about youth development in regards to teh announcement of this squad, but Olger has cleary stated that he wants to win the Asian cup and has stated why - being he wants to go to the confederations as he sees it as the best prep for the WC. I agree with him.

Also, every name on that list still could actually be on the plane to Brazil in four years.

He's one of the strangest because he isn't playing and doesn't have the laurels of our Harry for example.
I still think he's a quality defender, he knows Asia well now. We'll see.

Injuries to Michael Beauchamp (ankle), Josh Kennedy (back) and Harry Kewell (groin) have
prevented the trio from joining the Qantas Socceroos squad for the upcoming international
friendly matches against Switzerland & Poland.

After consultation with the players and their clubs, Qantas Socceroos Head Coach Holger
Osieck has decided that they would not be required in camp.

Following these withdrawals, Osieck has added Jon McKain and Tommy Oar into the Qantas
Socceroos squad.
