ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Ethical storm flares as British scientists create artificial sperm from human stem cells

Professor Karim Nayernia has created a substance which turns human stem cells into sperm

In a world first, British scientists have grown human sperm in the laboratory.

The breakthrough in stem cell science offers a potential cure for male infertility and could be used in IVF clinics in as little as five years.

It would allow thousands of men to father children that are genetically their own, possibly from just a sliver of their skin.

But the cutting-edge work is fraught with medical and ethical problems.

It raises the possibility of babies being born entirely through artificial means, and even the macabre scenario of long-dead men 'fathering' children from beyond the grave.

Where is the fun in that? If you gotta put up with the little shit for 18 years legally, you should at least get SOME fun out of it.

Yeh that 30 seconds of fun really makes up for the next 9 months + 18 years ;)

dykes are all over this artical !

It's 'article' dearie, and it's got nothing to do with 'dykes'. It's science.

It could possibly have benefits for lesbian couples, but as was actually noted in the article (rather than spouted off about) it could have benefits for heterosexual couples looking to have children where for one reason or another the male partner has fertility problems.

Given that there are many guys out there who are for lack of a better term "shooting blanks" this could mean that they can have a kid that is from their own genetic make up...

But it also opens the possiblity of designer babies.

His love muscle is lacking nutrients?

It's so hard whether to be for or agsisnt this.

As T mentioned...it opens it up for designer babies...which to me...I'm not really for.

lol that's a pretty serious (and so far untreatable) "fertility problem"
