ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Season 2023 Appreciation thread

Come with me on a journey, if you will, of the last 3 rounds of the regular season 2023 and the finals. CCM centric, obviously. An absolute tonne has been missed in the recounting of this tale.

Results from previous rounds:
R20. 4-1 W v MAC
R21. 2-0 L v MV
R22. 4-1 W v Bri
R23 3-0 W v WU

Round 24.
CCM sit in third place on the ladder having lost second spot to Adelaide.
Game v Melbourne City and a chance to leapfrog back into 2nd with a win.

Draw 1-1.

Round 25.
Second to last game of the season and against our dirtiest nemesis - at the scumdome too. We utterly own the crowd, dominating in the stands and on the field.

Highlights

Seriously enjoyable Win 3-1.

Round 26.
Finale round of the season versus Adelaide.

Adelaide sit second, with us and WSW able to take it from them with the right outcomes.

2nd spot goes to:
AU if they win,
CCM if we win, or also if draw we draw and WSW draw/lose,
WSW if they win, with a 2+ goal difference over our result

Adelaide enter cocky. Highlights here

Win emphatically, 4-1.

CCM finish the season in 2nd place, qualifying for an automatic semi final, a week off, and with decent momentum...

Semi-final - first leg
Big talk. Word on the street is CCM had played their grand final the game before and Adelaide only played at 80% anyway. Monty calls the BS on the disrespect to the paying customer and AU fans. Game on.

Highlights here

Great Win, 2-1.

Semi final - second leg
Now apparently the opposition banter gets even more sophisticated and suggests CCM (in it's record breaking scoring season no less) is a long ball side. Alright, let's see how that logic works out for you.

Central Coast (Industries) Stadium absolutely bursting at the seams, a full house... What an atmosphere! Brilliant stuff.

Highlights

What a win! 2-0

The Grand Final.

10 years to the year since our last.
So many planets aligning. Cummings' perfect story. Hero journey story arcs for many. Vuka's GF redemption...

City have the mercenaries who have been there before, it's all about cold blooded business.
CCM have a vibe manager.

CCM have a TEAM. A culture. Leaders. A plan. A swagger.

We Believe.

Somehow it's a home advantage in Parramatta. 95% Yellow and Navy. Electric vibe. It's coming home.

GF highlights

THRASHED the back to back premiers 6-1.
Absolutely amazing.

What an insanely epic journey.

So, so many missed key moments in this summary. But I was re-celebrating the journey again in my head and wanted others to enjoy it too.
Including from earlier in the season - the rise and rise of Garang Kuol for example.

Feel free to add the special moments that stood out to lock in the memories whynot?
