Three major signings in a week all with international and overseas experience ( brockie only has international).

As much as everyone says they are bad signings there better than what anyother team are signing and their team is getting stronger.

We need to start signing players NOW!!!

His a good young versatile player who has had oversea and international. If he stays fit he would be a great signing for any a-league team................. if he signed for mariners you would support him and say he was a good player. Just cause he signed for a shit club doesnt mean his a shit player.

Midfield containing Zadshite and Wheelhouse.

Get my bookie on the phone, the spoon is up for grabs.

Brockie, Wehrman(sp?) and Zadshite in no way whatsoever make a squad stronger.

Add the usual over the hill, injury prone or totally shit marquee and the scum will struggle.

If we had signed him it would be proof positive that our current coach is an absolute knob.

Just because you say it doesn't make it so.

I fail to see how the addition of 3 midfielders to a squad that was depleted in that area in no way strengthens the squad.

Seriously though, you are calling someone who spent the last two years on the physio table a major signing. They may be replacing players but it is no stronger than last years team at the moment.  FFS Brockie is coming back from a broken leg, try and remember how long it took Heff to get back up to speed. Wehrman is the pick of the bunch tbh.

It is by no ways an ZOMG they are going to be so great and win the Double panic situation where we need to announce signings or rush them. We have the framework of a squad at the moment that is at least as credible as the jest. would rather we take our time and sign people of note rather than squad players like this.

I never said that we were going to be world beaters, I didn't say anything about Zadkid being a "major signing".

We have made a few solid A-League standard signings and I'm more than happy with that. It sure beats risking your upcoming season by signing a few no name overseas players who are untested in this league and generally take up a decent portion of the cap.

For what it's worth I think that Zadkovich will be a decent player to have in the squad, same with Brockie and Wehrman has the potential to be a very good player in this league. Our first 11 will be largely unchanged from last season, so these players add a bit of much needed depth.

MM; I'm not too worried about losing Song, he was far too inconsistent and very frustrating as far as I am concerned. Thommo is a huge loss, but we have lost him and signed 3 more players who can play in his role. Abbas will take over Song's role.

Do you think, just possibly, that I may not of been responding to you then and I may of been responding to the first post.

I honestly used to breathe a sigh of relief whenever SFC were on a counter attack against us and the ball would be played to Zadshit (balls to Zdrilic also had this effect on me) Unless Ruben has greatly improved his touch and possibly had a brain transplant for good measure, he will add little but some pace to NCJ and is no replacement for Thompson. Song was decent and improving every year imo. Though I do thing Abbas is an adequate replacement.

FWIW
Brockie I though was looking good before his leg was broken. BUT his legs been broken. Will need time. Wheelhouse was also massively improved last season.

Personally I'm in no rush for new signings, as long as we get some of the GENUINE quality we've been told is on the agenda.
