ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Round One - Hearts v Mariners

Aloisi out with a hammy injury so the blow torch will really be on Sibon to start the season on a positive.

Looks like a pretty handy Heart midfield with Skoko, Thompson, Shroj and Worm but there will be some pressure for them to score goals.

With the strength of both defences, including goalkeepers, I am going for the early tip of a 0-0 draw.

First game though, the Heart could be there for the taking.

They have a formidable team on paper for sure, however that does not always guarantee success as we have seen before.....at least they are not going down the GC road of declaring to sweep all before them!

heart a new team and will take time to gel, we're pretty much a new team and will also take time to gel - expecting a scrappy game, if its a sellout crowd i think heart might rise to the challenge but if its smallish or avg crowd expect our boys to finish them off - tip ccm 2 - heart 1

They are a strong team... so to Nix's after their three new signing over the last 2 days... SFC as well ...

Looking forward to the new season whether its one handed typing or what I feel good about the season ahead but apprehensive about this game ... as its Mariners V Mariners Old Boys  in some ways...

Our squad has not played together that much and is quite young...

Prediction ..... I would be happy with a draw and very happy with a win... but got a knot in my tummy about this game...

My jury is still out on sydney, they havent really replaced colosimo for mine, even aloisi.

Carle will be an up, but then reddy can be unreliable despite a good spell at the nix last year

I fancy us for this one.

2.1.  Very pleased to read that alot of work has been done on making the defence more solid and organised in the off season.
Really looking forward to seeing the new boys play.

I put a lobster on Mariners winning this one. Also hedged on the draw. I reckon my bet's pretty safe.
