Round 8 - CC Mariners Vs Melbourne Heart

So can we build on our 10,500 last home game attendance.
I think the later time slot certainly helped crowd figures Vs Victory.

Although we are coming off a pretty good win.
Not only that we are starting to play a bit of football & knocking in a few goals.

Once again the weather looks to be a bit wet & humid.

But I'll stick my neck out

Mariners 2 Vs Heart 0
Crowd 11,345
Goals Ibini, Simon.
Man of Match : Rose.

Bold prediction.
Same team as last week. Only change, Kwassie (if fit) in for Pelle.

I'm going to personally bring 5 extra people to this game. I think we will get a crowd of about 9,000 but hope some of the fair weather fans come out and we crack 11,000.

I think we will beat Heart 2.0.....I think we are only a couple of game away from smashing 4 or 5 past someone but Heart are pretty reasonable so I don't see us stuffing them.

Scorers...Simon and Bernie.

I,m really keen for this game.

My team if everyone is available

Ryan
Bojic. Wilko. Duchy. Rose
Weemac Griffo. Amini. Bozanic
Simon. Bernie.

It's time to start Amini (saw him in Rhodes this week and he looks fit and confident and has put on a bit of size). McBreen has been fantastic in AM role but if Amini is fit he has to start and if he fades like last year around 60 min mark then McBreens bustle will be sensational for last 30 mins. McBreen doesn't deserve to be benched
but you don't keep a Rolls Royce in the garage...and Musti is a high quality machine.

If Olly is still not available then I'd start Hutcho on the left. Depends what Hutcho turns up....if it's last years model then bring Hearfield on at half time. If it's last weeks model....then go the Hutch.

I'm with you Wombat. Musti looks ready.

Withcrowds however. We need clear hot sun for a good 24 hours before hand, or we will be back to 6-7K I think.

In that article, Arnie mentions that the team culture is at an all time high.

Whether he actually means that or is just throwing in a cliche comment I don't know, but one of the things I have noticed this season especially is how much fun the subs have at half-time. They'll have their shots at goal or whatever, and then Clarky comes out and they all run over, play a little posession game and look like they are having the time of their life!

Is there any man more loved from those within the club and those outside than Clarky?

I'm thinking were gonna get at least 3 into the back of the net

crowd wise...well, its gonna be the drizzling shits if this weather keeps up...HELL...if it gets hotter, i doubt any 'walk-ups" will happen either way...4 or 5, 000 tops

. musti set to start

Source article

. wonder if they will water the pitch before kick-off?
Thanks bikigirl great read and huge hats off to Arnold for his man management of Musty... he is hand on heart not the other thing aside from Mark Viduka the best player I have ever seen at an Australian club... he has a soft touch to die for and an uncanny ability to find space ... deliver a pass and move into position ....

Weather.com.au suggests the rain will clear up before match time.

Any report on the condition of the ground? Would have to be close to calling it off surely. Must be awfully boggy.

Weather to clear, 8-9 thousand, Mariners to win 2-1. I'm bringing at least 3 with me and seems a few are too. Will be interesting to see the team, McBreen really doesn't deserve to get dropped but if Musti comes back in someone will need to make way. Some real intense competition for places which is healthy.
