Rescheduled game- Adelaide United v Queensland Roar

Wednesday night game, set to be one of the biggest of the season since an Adelaide United win will guarantee them a double chance in the finals. In fact, that and a Mariners win on Friday will give United the Premiership before even taking the field v Wellington. Where United have really shone this season is at home, with only two teams leaving with any points at all whereas the Roar travel very well, so this could be a very good game to watch.

United are without Mullen and Sarkies, Roar without McCloughan and Tiatto.

Since the League title is out of reach for us now I'll have an Adelaide win here thanks.  :)

Yep, smash 'em Adelaide. I hate Queensland.

As a side, I read today in The Age, the tards have collected 21 points out if 27 at home. Awesome record.

Having said that, I have a funny feeling about Friday night. Don't know why, but I think we'll beat them. Maybe it's just hope but I have a good feeling.

Having said that, the best we can hope for is third I reckon. The tards are 4 ahead and have the sheep at home last round, they'll smash them. We'll play Queensland in the minor for sure.

Hey, a replication of the two highscoring games between us and them this season on a home and away basis still sees us go through 7-6 on aggregate.....

Point each would be nice. I dont think the Mariners should be afriad of playing anyone as they will have to beat all teams to win the GF.

I tipped a draw for these guys. Got all tips right this weekend, Syd/Perth to win except for us losing to qld so here's hoping they get a point each and still make the Premiership 'up for grabs'

Adelaide United start with 4-5-1 with Younis up front and Pantelis as one of three in central midfield. Queensland start with 4-3-3.

When Adelaide attack they have 3 up front with Pantelis in behind.

BAM! and 0-0 all draw at that, which totally aids our chances at the Premiership with no goals added to either ADL or QLD goal differences

                                                GD      PTS
1  Adelaide United FC          11  34
2 Melbourne Victory FC         7   32
3 Queensland Roar FC           7   30
4 Central Coast Mariners FC          7      28
5 Wellington Phoenix FC           -6   25
6 Sydney FC                     -1   23
7 Perth Glory FC               -10      22
8 Newcastle Jets FC           -15 15

plus if goal dif is the same it leads to goals scored mariners are ahead of qld and adelaide by +5
so if we win both our games and adelaide lose and goal dif is par we win

p.s i think this happened last year with jets at the end goal diff was the same but we scored more goals overall

Big chance blown by Adelaide United tonight to comfirm a top 2 spot. I can see the questioning of tactics starting soon, what with their fans chanting "four-four-two" :-\

Notice the fans then chanted "bullsh!t" once Younis' number came up and 442 wasn't going to happen.

Also gladly took the draw at $3.30 - thanks TAB :)

Well that Draw leaves the premiership race open, we are still a mathematical chance but only a slim one. I still are pretty confident about finishing 2nd, but that could be helped by some of the bottom 4 teams winning and snatching results of the other 3 top 4.
