ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Possible reason why crowds are down

Is anyone else sick to death of the nazi enforcements in the bay specifically? I mean they installed all these cameras to keep an eye on the bay, and then they still just pick people at random to throw out of the game when something happens.

Since the inception of the a-league, all of my friends bar 2, and over the years i have brought more than 30, have been kicked out of a game for some reason, none of them involving violence, most involving accusations of things they just didnt do.

It is no surprise to me that i can no longer muster 30 people to a game, and am lucky to muster 12.

Add to this my mate who got kicked out last weekend, when if they check their tapes they will realise they are wrong.

More than that, he was holding my girlfriends members card, because she had no pockets, and I was in hospital missing my first home game. So when they took his ticket they took her card too.

When will it end? Why should i be forced to feel so angry about the club i love?

As soon as i can muster more than a whisper after my surgery i will be ringing the club and giving them this piece of my mind.

The worst part is the backroom staff are all great and lovely people. And do not deserve this kind of a spew.

But the security and the police, and on occasion of their presence the riot police are all well out of line. It is time for the club to bring them to the table and get them to pull their heads in. They are not doing what they are getting paid for. This is not some trashy nightclub where bouncer are able to kick people out willy nilly and the owners are fine.

This is our club, and we shouldnt be treated with such unearned malcontent from the overzealous enforcers.

We should be able to sing and chant and stand, or sit and watch, or not as we please. Until we do something against the rules. And then it should only be those who do the wrong that are kicked out.

When seccies kick out the wrong person, no one gets justice, all that happens is that 1 more fan, is likely to slip from the clubs reach. 1 more person who goes to every game, buys merchandise, travels away, and adds to the spectale, Stays home. Or forgoes the mariners all together.

I will post the stat. Of the 31

13 go to all games now.
6 have not returned since being falsly kicked out.
9 no longer watch or care as to the results of the mariners.

It took alot of time and effort from us strong supporters to build from 3 to 31 for the club. It took the club no time and no effort to alienate 18, andseemingly constantly leave the rest with bitter tastes in their mouths.

End rant.

Hopefully the backroom staff will return my girlfriends membership, and i will give them gratitude here. Or i will trade my membership next year for a fox subscription, if i can stand to watch it at all.

Those who know me know i live and breathe football, and especially mariners. I bleed yellow and navy. But something has to give

Was the bloke who was kicked out on the weekend accused of throwing a bunger at the ballboy, Kieron? Wearing an Everton shirt?

I don't know who threw the bunger, it came from the generic area where your mate was, but I can't say definitively who threw the bloody thing. It was a low act.

Security have a job to do, however there are times that they get it wrong. Sadly, your age group is right in the firing line for Security, it's a fact of life.

Security would feel they are acting according to Stadium instructions, but they should be acting with certainty and proof. We don't need hooligans at games, but we also do not need the innocent being chucked out.

On a personal note, I would not quit going if I had been thrown out unfairly. I would complain bitterly, and make quite certain that the authorities were aware of my feelings, but I would not stop supporting the lads.

Good luck with everything, PM me if you need help with Stadium Management.

Yes that is the guy on this occasion.

As im sure you know i have been kicked out on numerous occasions. And still keep turning up. I have vented my frustration on those occasions to the appropriates. And others.

I might take you up on the help, will see how it plays out thanks

Let evryone be aware i am completely against thuggery at games, or in general. As i have proven in actions with regard to CSE(when i ended up getting the boot from the riot police before i saw the field anyway despite being vigoursly opposed to the incident they were their to "prevent") and other occasions, some which i have taken knocks for.

Iv been to every home game. Iv spent every minute of every game (other than 2 games in corp box) in the bay. Iv never once come close to being kicked out, and iv thrown beer, sweared, jumped on seats, been involved in "scuffles", etc.

Now I know at the last game, your mate did noting wrong, fair enough, but its a far stratch IMO to say that ALL of your friends have done nothing wrong to warrant being kicked out. I am NOT taking the side of the security here, they are indeed pathetic, but I feel your stretching the truth a bit IMO.

Most for standing on seats, in a gruoup of people standing on seats, a couple for throwing cups. A couple for having a drink, and the seccies not believing their id so they kicked them out

But the point is it is not consistant. Most of these things are irrelevant. Like you have said you have done them and not got kicked out. I have never been in a scuffle at the game and ive been out 3 or 4 times. They should realise in the bay, a cup in the air aint that much trouble as it is in the rest of the stadium. Everyone is used to beer showers. Why kick a couple and make an example no one cares to notice? Kick the lot, or kick none?

And certainly make sure you kick out the right person.

Oh, thats what that was. I didn't see the actual Boom, but being just after a Goal i thought one of the ball boys simply exploded from excitement.

I said I would, and I shall. Id like to thank the mariners, and in particular their new ticketing honcho Mack Rowett for sorting this out for me. :)

Can you expand a bit, please, Jesus Christ?

So you asked for the membership back and they complied?

I dont know all the details, but it seems the security company did not mention to the club about the members card, and did not hand it over. So (unfounded) presumably they could have thrown it out, or used it themselves or for someone they know at the last game.
