ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Possible 37 Points

That's the best we can hope for.

If we are able to beat Qld, Melb & Adelaide then only 38 points beats us as finishing on 37 points I think our goal difference may sneek us in with the 3 wins.

So stats say we are still a chance:

Melbourne would need to win 2 games. Perth away & Wellington at home.
Adelaide would need to win the next 3 games in a row.

Melbourne looks the easier task but still far from done & dusted.

Yep given we have Melbourne and Adelaide coming up, 3 wins would surely seal us the Premiership (and more importantly, another crack at Asia!).

Would 7 points be enough if we only draw against Queensland? Relying heavily on other results then.

I think the hypotheticals are less interesting this year. We've got the three best teams to play, and we it's more about setting ourselves up for a good crack at them in the finals. If we lose the next three games and Wellington knock us out of the four, we didn't deserve to be there anyway!

Too many variables if we draw Vs Qld.

It's a must win or we qualify (for Asia next year)the hard way via winning the GF

So as I see it we still have 2 chances "for now" anyway.

7 points, 2 wins at home and a draw in Melbourne.

At the moment the dream is still alive.

That's exactly how I've been looking at it.
I really like the position we find ourselves in. It is a challenge and if we rise to it we will deservedly win the Premiership and the spoils that follow. If we can't get enough points off the best in the league in the next three weeks, then we will face exactly what is deserved.

I just hope there are no egregious refereeing decisions that scupper any meritocritous rewarding of success (07/08 GF anyone?).

How's Breeze been with us this season? I seem to recall at least one acceptable performance.

Admittedly, I don't think breeze has been TOO bad on us this season. And he's not been too ball all around recently.
I think, if the guys keep there tempers in check and stay calm, we'll be alright. (That should be a given)

You are right in regards to referee calls,
we seem to have had our share of them
remember 2 games ago when we virtually lost
2 players after the whistle.

By the way what happened with the AFF ruling on the "Please explain" against the Scum???

It was disregarded. Lucky for us.
