ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Hello all,

My name's Ben and I'm a football ('soccer' as you know it) fan all the way from England. Just thought I'd drop by one of your forums and ask how Pedj Bojic is getting on for lads?

He played for my team Northampton Town when we were in the fourth tier of English football and became an fans favourite. Unfortunately, when we were promoted to the League One (third tier) he couldn't quite cut and disappeared off our radar after three superb years at the club. Was quite surprised when I realised he was playing top-flight Australian football nowadays - not sure if that comments on the standards of your own league or our stupidity in letting him go.

He scored a few vital goals in our promotion season including the first goal on the opening day that year (number 20) and he was a superb bloke to have at our football club and it's pleasing to see he's made further footsteps in the game after departing our shores.

PS. Don't worry about the Ashes this time round - we couldn't beat an egg at the moment.

Pedj started v well but even his most ardent supporter would say he hasnt finished the season too well.

Played at LB a lot for us due to injuries which probably hasnt helped.

Useful squad player

Blimey! Left-back?!

We used to play him at an attacking right-back full back position but in his later days became a right winger.. don't think he really had the pace for that though.

My memory is that he played right back in youth at Parramatta Power before he went overseas.  I think he's better central.

What some forget is that he has been playing football now for 13 months straight, and not used to it.

The NSW Premier League started their pre-season cup at the start of February 2008. I think that is one reason he faded, particularly mentally/concentration at the end of the HAL.

Thanks Chris, that's a point I haven't considered.

A decent break and he could well surpass his early season form.

Can not believe that is Pedj slotting that home. He neads to slow down a bit when he is running so he can keep control. At the moment it seems as though he is trying to run too fast past too many defenders.

Take a load off Pedj, slow it down a tad.

**EDIT**

Just realised that is in slow mo. Looks as though hes always been like that.

Keep it up Pedj, love your work!

Pedj is a gun. Glad we bought him.
+1. Been great to watch him this last A-League season.

Interesting to hear he's been playing flat out without much break for the last year and a bit, wasn't aware of that, and as someone else said, probably the reason he was looking a bit run down at the end of this last season just finished.

WTF we dont play a back 4 of

Pedj Wilko Boogs Heff I have no idea

He is obviously NOT a LB and you can see that in his positional play.

Bloody hard worker and I'm glad he's in our squad
