from those who played in the qualifiers/or those who have a chance of going to africa:

kewell: wont come with arnie here, unless he was really keen on getting involved with the COE
carney: perhaps, just not as a marquee
chippers: would probably be more of a chance then the other 2, would be a perfect marquee or a player/coach role
carle: i highly doubt he would come back, and if he did he would go to the scummers
troisi: imo would be great to have him but imo i think he would rather keep developing overseas
heff: no chance of coming back in the near future

With the signing being in the next few days it may be dependent on Asian Cup qualification.

For people like Carle and Triosi who want to be part of the Socceroos going forward the Asian Cup, which is played in January in the middle of a crowded schedule may be a carrot. Playing in Asia/Australia makes the Asian cup a lot easier. The same case could probably be made for Chippers and Harry if they think they have unfinished business from 2007.

Chippers would be great - can play anywhere down the left, defensive mid, attacking mid and striker.

Harry would be another level - a true marquee!!! However, the only way I can see him come here is if he was involved either financially and personally with the COE.

You mean the tweet 2 1/2 weeks ago that mentioned picking up a back of shirt sponsor, and did not mention a time frame for announcing it!  ;D
