ITS MO TIME

Time for all you hairy bastards to stop shaving for a month to help raise money for the battle against mens depression and prostate cancer.

Depression affects 1 in 6 men, and most don't seek help. Untreated depression is a leading risk factor for suicide.

Every year 2,900 Australian men die from prostate cancer and over 18,000 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer.

The money raised by Movember is used to raise awareness of men's health issues and donated to the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and beyondblue: the national depression initiative. The PCFA and beyondblue will use the funds to fund research and increase support networks for those men who suffer from prostate cancer and depression.

Thats why we need you, your family and friends to empty your pockets, and sponsor a movember marinator.

prizes will be awarded for the best mo, as voted by the lady marinators, and for the most money raised for the cause.

Nice work bear and fellow Marinators. I reckon I can give those Mo's a bit of a shake. 

Its something close to my heart. My father passed away from prostate cancer a few years back and he is dearly missed.

This thread is a timely reminder. I've never participated in Movember and I promised myself last year that this year is a definite. Off to register now...........
