ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Sounds like he is settled and determined to stay.
I'd say if CCM give him the contracts he'll see out his career here.
Might even see him in the coaching set up after that??

Monty strikes me as someone who could go on to be a very good coach ... Dutchie seems to be next in line but would love to see Monty at the Football School or involved in the association state team ...

Montys had a couple of quiet games...does my theory on interest from other clubs distracting players apply here?

Is he having quite games or just being rotated & now that we are playing better hasn't needed to save our bacon as much so not as noticed?

Caceras is now a geniune 1st team chance each week so now have the luxury of picking any of the three (Monty, Hutch & Caceras).

monty was one of the best against the scum and also Melbourne city. has been rotated and had 1 1/2 quiet games, nothing to fear.

next season is when we will see his true qualities with caceres likely a main stay it will be monties job to put hutch on the bench.

the point is that he will be next season if he continues to improve at the rate he has this season, while the other boys decline with age

http://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/news/1185735/Hutchinson-tells-what-drives-Mariners (posted in who are the mariners as well)

”I am the team captain and I lost my place in the side too,” Hutchinson said.

”Anthony Caceres, for example, came in and did very well because he's a fantastic player.

”He's got great technique, he's great on the ball, he's tactically aware of what the Mariners want to be and, I tell you, he's going to run the Mariners' midfield in the next couple of seasons.”

”I've been here since day one. I like the club which has always been good to me.

”I've got one more year left in my contract and after that I'll decide what's best for myself and the club.”

Potential last year as well for Hutcho next year - Prob depend on the young guns like kalik & Caceras to see if they can push Hutch & Monty to be fighting for bench spots instead of starting spots

I don't see Caceres as being ahead of the other two.
I think caceres has closed the gap on the defensive capability of hutcho and monty considerably.
he may become first choice next year . I also believe hutchs game has improved considerably in the last
few weeks due to the confidence he has in caceres.

& threat of being left out plus a steadier back 4 has stopped him trying to cover there positions as well
