ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Membership numbers for all A-League clubs

I found this today, it's about the Richmond recrutiment of Ben Cousins and how this has prompted 600 new members to sign up in a day, with another 1000 expected the next day. Even West Coast members are joining the tigers.

As the numbers are astounding, I was wanting to know:

how many members we have??
how many members do rival a-league clubs have?

Just wanting to see where we stand in relation to others and how much non-ticketed memberships would do for us?

i heard on the news tonight that south sydney rabbitohs have 6,000 members and there is a total of 70,000 members for all NRL clubs - thats rubbish for the exposure they get and much of those would be non ticket memberships too

Yeah if there was nonticket membership, that was cheaper, I would have got it to keep my membership current. Being as I didn't think I'd be able to get to many games, I let my membership lapse. Cant afford to fork out for somethign I'm not going to use.

I heard 90k all up. Which you would assume would mainly be north of the border. Storm have 8k though. Manly 2600 apparently.

As far as a-league goes, victory has like 20k. Sydney would have to be gaining on ten even if they are sucking so hard. Perth have good member numbers i think.
3-4k is right for us i believe.

Yeh, in August there was speculation we had about 3200 members (http://marinators.net/forum/index.php?topic=1432.msg50987#msg50987). Don't know how may members are in the other clubs.

Last year Melbourne had over 20000 members. I'd be interested to find out SFC's memberships numbers in comparison... I bet they are significantly lower. My theory is that AFL states, esp Victoria, are more inclined to become members of their football club. In NSW, people joined the licenced League clubs (e.g. Panthers) and not the actual football clubs (e.g. Penrith RLFC) and to some, the thought of joining the actual football club is a bit of a foriegn concept.

Agree. Though i would say this is largely down to the push from afl for years to have members, whereas nrl has not had the same p[ush for nearly as long. They are only just realising the benefits of members
