ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Yep, and good on Wilko and Hutch as well. This is what the boys need to do... things like this connect the Mariners with the local community. There's been a perception of late that they have lost that connection. Having some role models spread across a number of causes that effect the local community is a great way not only to raise awareness of the issues but also to raise the profile of the team.

Keep up the good work boys.

Good news! well done Matty and the boys.

(I really like the shirts that Hutch and Wilko are wearing giving blood, any idea if or where they're available?)

The cynic in me wonders if the powers that be have realised that work was needed on the community front given the Canberra debacle and general disengagement by the club from its roots over the past year or so?

Bloody go to see us getting back to it. Good work

This is great news... I love reading about the mariners in the back pages, but i am extremely proud when i read an article in the front or middle of the paper about mariners visiting sick kids or out at the reptile park or showing up at school fetes.

It was one way in which we were different from the other city based clubs.

How so?

This is standard stuff for all clubs, it's generally written in to their contracts.

I think its just easier for us to get the media coverage (albeit local) than in (say) Sydney. Hence it appears we are doing more when we probably arent.

Most local Sydney papers will fill the back pages with whatever the local knuckledraggers are doing. If CC had an NRL team, we wouldnt get a sniff. Ditto Melbourne and to a lesser extent Qld.

Sheer joy at beating the scum :)

I live in Sydney. I have seen sweet f.a. from Sydney FC, while having Mariners promotions in my area on several occasions, Gumprecht and Elrich even came to my club's end of season bbq. Thats one example of how so

Pisspoor to use such a good cause to have a go at the NRL... made even more pathetic by the fact it's an initiative the NRL and ALL CLUBS decided to support as well.

Be happy for a good cause, don't use it as an excuse to bash another sport.

Well done especially to Matty and the boys for getting behind both it and the blood drive last week though.
