ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

We are due for a new playing strip next season and i hope im not the only one excited by this.  :vhappy:

i think we will probably get one new strip for both the ACL and the new season, any ideas on what it will be or should be ??

personally i want to see some sort of traditional uniform ! like stripes or maybe an all yellow color way.

I believe its an FFA contract and not one idividually negotiated by the clubs?

If so, we would have no say in when it changes

A couple of points:

- Should we incorporate a bit of gold into the CL kit: because of the Newcasle rivalry and our yellow colour, i vote NO. Maybe in the logo patch?

- Away strip for CL doesn't have to be white does it? something like the Socceroos' navy away strip / the CCM polo shirts would be perfect IMO

+ do we need a CL shirt sponsor?

If Central Coast (business / tourism / whatever it is) can't afford it, I'd suggest a brewery.

With the CCM buying a major share or management rights or whatever of BT stadium, will they get to sell naming rights to the stadium? The possibility of selling shirt sponsorship and stadium naming rights to the same company before the ACL could attract a huge sponsor...

Found this cool download that has heaps of photoshop templates of shirts for all the major brands and clubs:

If you know a bit of Photoshop there's literally days of time-wasting possible.

...for example here's some i prepared earlier:

the bluetongue idea is good, especially with the stadium, but the thing I like about the current 'Central Coast' sponsor, is that it directly says Central Coast. There are still people out there who don't know where the Central Coast is, and as we progress into Asia, maybe the visual reminder of where the Mariners are from would be good? Bluetongue would be great on the back, under the number.

With the alternate strip, the gold should always be the number one. As for away, the blue (or navy) would be a good idea. If we played Melbourne away, we would have to wear the gold though

For the ACL i think there is no better sponsor than Business Central Coast; what an opportunity to promote the region to big businesses and tourism markets. However, would it be within their marketing budget? I have no idea, but I'm thinking big, imagining that the potential $$$ CCM could charge for sponsorship in Asia could be huge.

I still like Navy for an alternate strip.

If the HAL's white strip rule doesn't apply in the ACL, and if it's an "alternate" strip purely to avoid colour clashes (as opposed to a compulsory "away" strip), I reckon we should give plain navy a try for the ACL.
