I'm an idiot savant without the pesky savant bit
you have to go with Reddy dont you?...a couple of cracking saves, his kicks were pretty good as well...yes, yes, I know the world hates him BUT give credit where its due
he had a pretty good hit out.

We had some numb nut in Bay 18 screaming out NEVERREADY for 90 fkn minutes....clearly a student of the game

Agree with you Recky, credit where credit's due. Reddy gets my MoM vote. He's always had a long kick. I seem to recall him landing one on the chest of one of our guys over half way in the first half. Not as good as Maty, but as we are finding out, there are very few in the world that are. We can't live in the past, we have to look forward, I was never comfortable with Pas as our 'keeper. In all honesty, Reddy is a better 'keeper imo. I still think the guy is a twat but so far he has done nothing but prove me wrong on that point since joining the Mariners. Fingers crossed he keeps up the good form... on and off the field.

Can you add Yellow Army to the poll. That way Reddy protest votes can go to them. Although to be fair they were the second best behind Reddy.

Cracked up when I saw Simon & judging from sydmariners comments it was him.

Has to be Reddy, he grew in confidence as the game progressed which was good to see. Monty was having a good game apart from some wayward passing, but faded a bit towards the end. Rosey made some good runs but apart from that not too much to cheer about.

I was more impressed with Seip on the right than in the middle, and I think Anderson looked better than he has done. With a little composure Duke would've put us one up just before the break, and *someone* should have been on the spot to put the ball in when it went across their goal area just before Brisbane took it up the other end to score.

If we can put the goo feasting aside, it wasn't a terrible performance against (I think) the best team in the comp right now.

Brisbane deserved the win, and we almost hung on for a point, and luck aside might have snatched it ourselves.

A little bit of perspective, a week off, a good preparation for the Victory game and we'll be fine.

Had to vote Reddy.

I thought Rose had a much better game and was impressed with Seip out on the right.

PS. Was impressed with Rod Brown's lad Corey in Orange (O/T I know)

Rose was up there but not his best ever game by a long shot, I too vote for reddy.
that's as much an indicator of how poorly everyone else did too though. Reddy had a decent game but in other weeks, such as the Adelaide game, it wouldn't have been mom

Totally disagree on Seip - The bloke has no left foot & blew a few chances to pass towards the goal instead of back to Reddy if he could use his left foot.

I don't rate him at all (Which means squat I know). Harsh maybe but I'd rather put Storm into the middle & give another kid ago on the right (Morton I think it is) or leave storm on the right & find another centre mid.

3- Reddy
2- Rose
1- Monty

No real standouts this week for me. Sains and Zach were ok... Off week against a tough team. A bit of luck and it could have been a different story.

Abit of a worry when keepers get mom 2 out of first 5 games.

Definitely. Although Sains and Zac are showing flashes of individual brilliance, the defence lacks the organisation and structure it had when Pat was on the field. Plus it doesn't help that our midfield are turning the ball over so frequently.

It bothers me that so many of the players (who are left) had stand-out seasons last year. Quite often the next season is less than stellar. Also, no matter how much time new guys work together in training, it takes time to gel under match-day pressure. Perhaps we are expecting too much too soon.
Also we are now champions and everyone else will be cracking their necks to knock us off. This is why back-to-backs in any code are so very very difficult.
