ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Hmmm...would be nice, but somehow I expect Lawrie will probably want to keep the good players at the Blades as of this point in time.

Lawrie signed a one year deal to coach the Blades and act as a consultant for CCM in Asia. Good luck Lawrie and thanks for the memories. I wish you every success this year. With the breaks between the Chinese and A League I am hoping that you will still put in an appearance at the bar and regale us with stories from the Far East.

The Ambassador thing is weird - seems as if the ideal compromise (for the club) has been reached; Lawrie, gently, now off the books and the possibility of bringing in someone who is a genuine expert in marketing (Lawrie was always wonderfully enthusiastic but I don't think he was the man to drive revenue from sales to the people of the Central Coast).Although, knowing the club, they probably won't bother. Anyway, hope he is very succesful and enjoys his experience in China. He's a top man.

Went to watch Shanghai v Chengdu last night. Score was 4-1, Though Chengdu were pretty unlucky as they dominated the midfield in all but about 10-20 minutes, failed to put away chances and slipped a few against the run of play.

Kwas had a good match, playing as a striker in a 442, though he floated to the left and right a fair bit. Played with plenty of heart as usual.

All in all it was great to see Laurie on the touchline again.

Next home game will include former Mariner Dean Heffernan in the opposition. Could be interesting. Mrs McK arriving today Lawrie will have someone there who can understand him finally.

Good to hear. Having someone to communicate is not to be underestimated, I'd have gone crazy by now if I was living by myself lol.

Tweet from Lawrie...

"Yes I have stepped down as head coach of Chengdu Blades but I will update you tomorrow as I have another meeting with the club"

I for one sincerely hope Lawrie comes back and takes up a position at the mariners, whatever that might be. Even though I think the A-League may have progressed/advanced beyond him as a coach, he built this club from scratch and that should be embraced. It's guys like him that will help build the history of A-League clubs, and the league itself... think Don Revie at Leeds, Sir Alex at Man Utd, kenny dalglish at L'pool etc.
