ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

A minor change has been slowly taking place and increasing at Bluetounge and its p's me off.

Just prior to the match the radio guy keeps talking and never shuts up.

I want to listen in the last couple mins prior to the match the crowd going off not some DJ thinking he needs to talk to tell us whats going it.

It really gets under my skin and we appear to be copying the Flying Choppers in this regard and they scare away crowds.

Anyone else think the same

Here, Here! I have raised this point before. I can't hear anything except that annoying ground announcer and that even more annoying little sh*t Millsy (I think that's his name). Like you, I want to soak up the atmosphere, but I'm reluctant to leave my seat on the halfway line to join the Marinators (because of the view). One of the reasons the game is so enjoyable to attend is the efforts of the marinators, but a lot of their impact is lost prior to the game due to the crap coming out of the PA

I hate the thing they do at the SFS. When the ground announcer is doing the teams, he says the first name of the Sydney player and the crowd says the surname. Ahhhhh it's so annoying!  :redcard:

the cove actually suggested it to the stadium management as a way of sparking crowd involvement. i'd never seen it before until the world cup, and the germans did it in a big way - amazingly loud.

They spent all their money on 2 security cameras instead.

good to see they have their priorities right... spy on paying customers rather than making their game day experience better (or it could be worse with the speakers and annoying announcer...)

not as effective with a half arsed effort from the crowd I imagine... one of those things that could get better with time...

I love they way they do it at most EPL games, anyone heard it?

announcer "in goal, robert green"
Crowd yells all as one, in 1 short burst "yeahhh"
"Lucal Neill"
"yeahhh"
"Anton Ferdinand"
"yeahhh"

Gets the teams out of the way quickly, and gets th crown involved

I hate the way the ground announcer tells us where the players are on the field. It really annoys me. I wish he would just shut up half the time.

Come on Midfielder....the bloke is an announcer - he gets paid to talk.

Dibo - the guy's name is Osvaldo Giroldo Jnior, nicknamed Juninho Paulista  ::)

What was the story on Sunday with music being played over the PA during the game?

I agree get rid of Millsy he is an embarrasment. I think Steve Allen does a good job though.

Bull he gets paid to get the crowd involved. What could be better than saying over to the Marinators now.

I like Bears idea of giving the crowd a bit of time to  go YEEHA or what ever after each player is called.

Big the goose of a grand announcer just keeps talking and its dribble.

I vote if he talks over the crowd at the final he should be tried behind a train and dragged to Sydney to listen to how sh*t it is at the Flying Choppers matches, then maybe he will shutup.

I agree with you dude.... personally I'd like to see Stephany Brandz  or even Melanie MacSomething (the hot euro-asian chick from Fox TV) do the announcing.

i think you proved my point

Paulisata is not his real name...it's a bullshit name that all Brazilians give themselves... some fictional shit like Striker#9 or Midfielder or Dibo.....  :pirashoot:
