ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Jesic goal celebration

What did Abebeyor get for celebrating in front of the away Arsenal fans, and should Jesic get anything similar for his stupidity last night after the second goal.

IMO this needs to be dealt with harshly especially with an FFA cup on the horizon. The last thing we need is someone like this celebrating a goal in front of opposing fans at say a Sydney United v Sydney FC or Victory v Melbourne Knights game.

I think this deserves a massive suspended fine for both player and club with the overiding message for the league being this is not ok. Somewhere in the vicinity of 10,000 for the player and times it by 2 for the club, suspended until second offence.

Opinions?

I didn't see last night, being one of the poor who can't afford Foxtel, but I remember Bridge carrying on in front of us after he scored in the Grand Final a couple of years ago. I thought at the time how stupid it was, only needing one hot-head (yes, I'm sure even Mariners supporters can be like that at times  )to throw something and all hell would've broken loose.
I also noticed some water bottles on the paddock near the Cove on Saturday after our second (I think) goal, so stirring up the opposition supporters can be dangerous, and should be strongly discouraged.

Don't be daft! Settle petal.

He just ran to the sideline, looked for Jets fans and then moved on to them. The Security guard looked like he was going to have a fit - would have been interesting if he'd man-handled him!
Lol there were only 2,754 fans there anyway .. what was going to happen?

He didn't run to the sideline at all. He ran straight for the home bay, even jumped the advertising to get there then stood there doing that weirdo celebration.

The fact that there was only 2754 fans there has nothing to do with it. Its the what ifs that need to be worried about. One good shot from a fan with a missile/water bottle and we are front/back page news with hooliganisim articles and negative press. Just what we need right now?

According to the laws of the game, jumping the advertising boarding to approach the fence is a mandatory caution.

I haven't seen that happen yet :D

If there's a problem with what he did, the referee can card him. If the referee hasn't done that, then I see no reason for the FFA to intervene. Don't forget we've had players do the same thing in the past as well.

If the taunting is over the top, they'll get booked. If it doesn't cross that line, then let them. I don't like it myself, but I don't think it needs intervention.
