Jedinak Scores a Double Against His Old Club.

Jedi scores a double against his own team while on loan st Antalya.

Mile Jedinak has shown Turkish Super Lig club Genclerbirligi what they are missing after scoring a brace against them for a rival club he has joined on loan.


The 25-year-old Australian midfielder scored both goals for Antalyaspor, who he joined on loan from Genclerbirligi in August, to clinch a 2-0 victory.

Jedinak blasted home his first just minutes into the first half and followed up with another in the 45th minute.

In the short time he has been with Antalyaspor, Jedinak - who was included in the Socceroos squad for their Asian Cup qualifier against Oman two weeks ago - has scored an impressive five Super Lig goals.

He originally transferred from Central Coast Mariners to Genclerbirligi in January after signing a two-and-a-half-year contract.

But he joined Antalyaspor on loan for the start of the new 2009/10 season in August and is set to remain with the club until May.

It is good to see Jedi doing so well I remember the first few games he played for us he did not look to be the player he has grown into ... he must have put in a lot of hard yaka and had some excellent coaching ...

Also talk about rubbing in the old manager face ... I am sure it gives players heaps of joy to score and play against a club that cast you off.

You must be a better judge than me TBH I never saw greatness in Jedi until halfway in Hal 3... this is not to say I did not rate him as a player but to where he is currently ... for me not until about half way tho Hal 3.

If the highlights are anything to go by, what the hell is a player like Jedinak doing at Genclerbligi in the first place? They were absolutely shocking and his loan club should've at least won by five goals and I think Jedinak should've had a hat-trick.

I wonder what kind of role the guy was playing in the team. He seemed to get forward a bit.
