ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

IT Industry Hopeful

Jazzie

Sheer joy at beating the scum :)
A very pleasant, presentable and mature 19 year old lad I know is looking for unpaid work experience, 2 days a week in the IT Industry. Can be anything, e.g. networking, admin, technician (hardware) etc. He is currently completing his IT (Networking) Diploma at TAFE, and carries his own insurance. Any one who may be able to help, or know of some one who may be able to help, please private message me. All replies will be appreciated and answered, and constructive advice is welcomed.

Not sure if this helps but my number 3 son has the same qualification and sounds one year ahead of the lad you are talking about (my son is 20).

We spent some time together putting together a Resume ... given he has little experience he faced the problem of no experience please give me a start...

What I did was laid out his work ready skills and broke it down into areas seen on most Job Descriptions ... like team player ...communications skills etc...

I used his experience as a football player as used to working in a team, in class they did project work ... For communications skills we used assignments when he had to do a class presentation... that he blogged and was a leader in some online games...

We showed he did have experience and academic qualifications, said he was keen to get a start and was wanting to do his Advanced Diploma at night and work during the day..

Then sent it off to an employer ... within a week he had an interview and 4 days latter he had a job... 3 days  per week during TAFE times and 4 days when TAFE is not. They have signed him until Christmas and pay $ 21.00 per hour...

So my advise is prepare an excellent resume and don't be afraid to use non work activities to illustrate work skills and work ready...
