ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

If A-League clubs were singers/bands

Melbourne Victory - Green Day - Huge supporter base, plenty of stadiums, plenty of hits, always reinventing themselves. The more they change the more they stay the same.

Adelaide United - Pearl Jam - Consistent at being consistent. At the top of their game early before going through a baron spell before coming good again. Always overshadowed by a bigger band.

Sydney FC - INXS - Once upon a time they were awesome, the biggest band in the land. Changes at the top however have made them boring, dull and a shadow of their former selves.

Melbourne Heart - Justin Bieber - New on the scene, plenty of hype but remains to be seen how they'll end up.

Brisbane Roar - Mumford & Sons - Little lion men who have made their way to the top but no-one knows if they're really meant to be there.

Gold Coast United - The Arctic Monkeys - Plenty of hype, 1st album was a cracker but the fans just don't come anymore.

Newcastle Jets - Backstreet Boys - They're back! But they were never actually gone in the first place. Family friendly and eager to please.

Central Coast Mariners - Has Vinnie Jones written any songs?

Wellington Phoenix - Crowded House, a tidy little NZ outfit who we've let into our own backyard. nice to watch, plenty of fans.

Perth Glory - D12 - Purple pills should definitely be popped before watching these boys play. Only then will you appreciate their true talent.

North Queensland Fury - Lady Gaga - It took a little while for people to warm to them, but can be fantastic to watch on their day. If only we weren't so thrown by what they are wearing.

Thoughts? Changes?

Mumford and Sons are amazing live... pulling them down to Brisbane's level is an insult, they are no where near good enough to be aligned with them.

A baron spell indeed. Is that what one has while sitting under a marquis late at knight?

Hard to shake a tag when get stuck with it....

As a New York mayor was reported to have said after a few drinks at a dinner party...

Look you do all this work
Do they care
Or say anything
Go out at night and help the poor
no one says a f**king thing
Help the old folks home
Nothing ... nothing nobody say nothing
BUT SUCK ONE LITTLE COCK

Family friendly? Wtf?

For the Mariners I would say Mike Patton: Doesn't get the hype like other musos do, his face is never on the front cover of a magazine, but that suits his fans just fine. They still swear by him, irrespective.

i daresay the family friendly part comes from their ticketing offers for the rest of the season?

I would compare the Scum more to a Death Metal band- they make you think of everything that you hate, and their fans are not the sort of people you want to associate with in your day to day life.

i kind of liken us to HANSON, no body rates us except the loyal minority who understand what were doing and always seem to be comparatively successful
