Why is it so?
Talay's elbow doesn't get spotted by the officials, so he gets two weeks from the MRB.
Curtis from Fold Coast does get spotted by the officials, so he gets 1 week plus however many minutes he lost by getting marched. Why not 2 weeks as well?
Why is a flying elbow (which if it hits the wrong place could kill) judged to be no more serious than a dive? (Perez and Baird).
Why is a headbutt (Beacham), even though it missed, no more serious than a dive? After all, a headbutt hitting the wrong place could also kill. Especially when a headbutt is always aimed at the head, where an elbow quite often is aimed at the body.
I can understand that we want to get rid of diving, but surely blatant thuggery does even more damage to the game's image?
I thought we wanted our game to be differentiated from the codes based on violence. You use an elbow or a headbutt in those codes & you'll get more than 2 weeks.
I don't understand these things, please someone enlighten me.
