So I don't know who else is a GH fan..I know Serious is...he broke his drums. lol.
Nice to see Orion get a run, but no Ktulu? and Welcome Home (Sanitarium)? YES PLEASE!! Seems like a good mix of old and new, and Im glad they're working it so the DLC for Death Magnetic works as well. Would have sucked if it didn't

Not going to be as linear this time...you don't beat 3 songs to get to the next set or whatever, you have to achieve a certain number of stars...whether you 5 star two songs or 3 star four songs or whatever...much more challenging I think..especially later in the game with the harder songs.
Also the "expert+" rumours are true. You can buy a second pedal, and it has a splitter to access the double kicks for 'proper' expert level drumming...I don't think I'll bother though because the crappy plastic pedals wouldn't stand up to it..I'll just hook my electric kit into the GH kit and use my own double kickers.
Live footage of the band, old artwork and setlists, behind the scenes stuff with the band...and I just jizzed in my pants...they have a new mode called "Drum over" which turns the notes for the drums off.,..you have an empty highway, and you can play whatever you want!! ZOMG!!!
EDIT:
Guitar:
Just played "Sad But True" through on expert straight off the bat...4 star...its not to hard til the solo as you'd expect..i hit 94% of notes for the song..with 75% for the solo.
Seek and Destroy...I only got through 57%..I've never gotten the hang of the long fast 5 button continual hammer on/pull offs. Good fun song though, and they've used the album...so Hetfields voice still sounds young.
Bass:
Only played Sad But True....on expert..meh kinda boring...but then a lot of songs by a lot bands on bass are.
Still...I'll definitely be getting that game.[/quote]
joystiq.com said:Up until now, we've been uncertain about what tracks would be appearing on Guitar Hero: Metallica -- though the educated guessers among us presumed that it would have quite a few tracks by its titular band. They were correct -- the news section on Metallica's official site recently revealed the 28 tracks the rock outfit would be contributing to the game (PS2 and Wii versions will include three extra songs in lieu of access to the band's Death Magnetic DLC pack), as well as the extra tracks from "some of the bands we admire and even call friends."
The full list is posted after the jump, and features our patented new Bold-O-Vision technology to point out the particular song we can't wait to croon without shame or self restraint in whatever social setting we happen to find ourselves in.
