ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Gorman - Grand Final maybe at Bluetounge

The words say everything... hidden in a much larger article...

It may yet be that the absence of the ''big three'' will have an adverse effect on the finals series. The jury's out. What's not in doubt is that the absence of Gold Coast United will help the bottom line. The two finals matches played at Robina have drawn 3000 and 4000. The bean-counters at Whitlam Square know, on that score, they can't lose. The truth is in a salary-capped competition, when the talent is largely equalised, there are no guarantees. Part of the beauty of the A-League is that it has had four different champions in six seasons. Part of the beauty is that the most successful club over the journey, Central Coast, are the smallest. Indeed, for the first time it may be that the FFA will reward the Mariners by agreeing to host the grand final at Bluetongue Stadium, despite its limited capacity. It's no more than the competition leaders deserve.

Pretty obvious - if we get the rights to host the Grand Final we will either have 18,000 at Bluetongue or 10,000 at the SFS...

If this is the case then interim plans should be started ASAP.
See previous post about a temporary increase in capacity at BT..

As if Gosford council would let us play and extra game on their precious league pitch. They are probably already pissed off that we are in the ACL and Finals given the extra games it means on there.

Has anyone bothered to have a look at the NRL & AFL schedules to see if the big 3 stadia (SFS, cricket ground & ANZ) are free on GF day? Maybe FFA have looked and found they're already booked.

already looked champ. the NRL dont book the actually days of their games until a few weeks out from the round. For example, SFS is booked up with an NRL on the grand final, however they have'nt said if its an Friday or Sunday. Super 15 is booked for Saturday night

Moving on.

HOOORAY!!!

BOUT f**kING TIME! I was set to organise a protest rally last year if we won hosting rights but were denied.

Criminal that you could even consider doing this to a community and our team.

Don't want to get ahead of myself, but a BT grand final on the coast, if there is ANY vision shown at all. Should be worth a whole weeks worth of promotions, events and merchandise sales. They should set up the leagues club park with food and drink stalls etc,
and if BT looks like it will sell out, fantastic, put huge screens up outside too.

The club could actually pocket a few much needed pennies if they are smart and develop a home GF strategy should it occur.
