ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Getting Ready (Biggest Season to Date)

Until last year i had a full membership and last year i cancelled due to being away for the first half of the season. Came back bought a 6 gamer i sat near the YA and had a great time. So i was ready to tick my usual Gold Class season ticket when i stopped and seen an new option "yellow army" season ticket. And the priceo_O i thought it was a typo hahaha after much deliberation with my accountant (dad) i decided after years of watching from afar (very enviously) it was time to enlist.

Lame story i know but i'm hoping like myself alot of people do the same and after the fan forum i got think is there a yellow army meeting or forum or anything. I only ask this because i usually sit with my Room mates (family grandmas boy joke) and do no anyone in or associated with the yellow army and would love to get involved more then the usual go to the game sing go home.

Is there a place, event or tifo making which i could attend. :overheadl:

Can't wait for the new season!!!!!!!!!

Hey mate, good to hear you're on board. Look forward to seeing you among the troops this season!

I also hope to see a lot more people filling the bay this season and I've got a good feeling about it. The Grand Final definitely showed what we're capable of in terms of active support and I feel there will be a solid increase in numbers this year. We're working to ensure this is the case as well.

In terms of pre-game events this season, we're going to continue doing the marches (in talks around this at the moment). Looking at securing a meeting point pre-game and an away game HQ. Most of our communication is usually done on the Yellow Army page on Facebook and I try and update people on here with the essential stuff when I can.

We're currently in the process of coming up with ideas & designs for new tifos, as well as designing new merch which I'm pretty excited about (yes, Adz, I am hoping for a limited release black shirt for myself).

In the next few weeks we are going to organise a bit of a night at Soccer 5's to enjoy a social kick around,BBQ and a few beers/soft drink.
We are looking at a Saturday night kicking off around 6ish. Will post up the details when I have them.

Let me know if you (or anyone else) have any questions (or ideas!) around YA and I'll answer as best I can.

I don't face book - But would love to see a special GF TIFO at the WSW Game (1st game 12th October 5.30pm)

Yellow & Blue - With 2-0 - simple

or the HAL Champions CCM welcome the HAL Premiers WSW to BT - 2-0 with the scorers name & time etc

something special for the that 1st game to commemorate the victory & show the RBB the grand final colour was no fluke

Also think we should get as many of the people who attended the GF to fill Bay 16 & all the seats behind the goals for the WSW game - A commemorative type day to say thankyou to all that attended & help give the YA the support they need against the masses of invaders from WSW & the RBB. Just a one off game where all the attendees stand together & sing just like that wonderful day at Allianz, then they can go back to there membership seats for the rest of the season & if it's successful might inspire the rest of the supporters to come join in the other games & allows the season ticket holders to go back to there seats.
An away style home end if you will just to celebrate this game & the kick off to us being the defending champs.

Thanks for the ideas mate. We're putting together a new tifo group and getting together in the next couple of weeks to come up with some designs,. so that could be something that's viable!

I'd like to see everyone that was part of active support at the GF there again for R1. Bay 16 is open to everyone (yes, I realise it's "reserved seating" but find me a Yellow Army member who abides by their reserved seat in Bay 16 and I'll eat my megaphone).

Cheers would love to fill all the seats at the end not just the bay for the WSW game to try replicate that GF atmosphere but probably dreaming! Maybe even a dedicated spruker to grab CCM fans heading to the eastern stand where the majority of WSW will be & say come over here & sit with us we are one sort of thing - Give WSW that whole side & put all CCM on the westside & the end -

they never even check tickets & besides the ticket price is the same as a GA ticket!

. nice idea regarding filling the end bays for round 1 ... but i think you are aiming too low

. the problem as i see it is ... we should be trying to sell out the stadium (shouldn't be that much of a stretch actually) - which means you can't drag a couple of thousand reserved seat fans out of their reserved seats and stick them in general admission

I feel it will sell out. Shouldn't be a problem though - we had a sell out in the semi final in v3 vs the scum - Bay 16 was double stacked the whole way up. If we can fit them, we'll take them. It'll be fun.... like human tetris

Understood BG

Maybe speak to the club about making it a special CCM only area for the whole section with some advertising or some sort of encouragement to make it like the GF or our response to the RBB sort of thing.

As it will be a massive game the club should & will need to designate a lot of the eastern side to the travelling WSW who were all totally unsure of the seating policy at BT & won't be late next time I feel - So better sectioning off would be better - Hey it's only one game & they travel well - Would be good to give them a fair chuck of that side & split the two teams supportors altogether (not from violence but just as a scene like the GF Red & Black vs. Yellow & Blue sea of colour & noise - Especially if all of the CCM supportors are together in close proximity & not lost among the WSW faithful.

We should definitely charge the WSW supporters an xtra $10 per ticket to attend as well. They are coming so leave your money at the door please.

It should sell out for sure provided football is still hip in Western Sydney by October. Think there was about 18-19,000 on a horrific night (pelting with rain) last visit. So if club can setup the tickets correctly first up it will make our job easier.

Definitely think I'll take the missus to the Bay or nearby (Backend) for this game, she loves the signing but can't handle a whole game standing up (Wuss!)

Get her in training now. I'll be running pre-season camps starting in 2 weeks. First session involves standing up for 47 minutes, sitting down for 15, then standing up for 49 minutes. We'll progressively introduce clapping, then chanting, overhead clapping and finally overhead clapping with chanting while standing. It'll be grueling, but you'll thank me for it. :)

. i can't see this really getting up to be honest - there are quite a lot of members that sit there and you will never convince them all to move

. also consider that only last week the club was looking at how to convince more people to sit on that eastern side. it will end up much like last year ... and the western side at the grand final - a mixture of fans

. what we really need to do is increase our membership numbers so there are not enough seats left for too many wanderers fans to get in :vhappy:
